How Did You Find Out About Adult Games?

I'm very curious. At least amongst my social circles, ppl talk about games all the time. But I've never heard anyone talk or recommend adult games. So how did you first end up playing adult games/here on F95?

For me, it was through steam. There was a period where I was very isolated, hardly any social interaction, so I wanted to have some semblance of dating interaction. Found "Love & Sex: Second Base", and probably sunk 80 hrs. From there, it was a leapfrog to a google search, which somehow lead to Lewdzone ... to F95 ... to NTR inces- i'm kidding, that's not my kink lol. But here to F95 which opened my eye to the wonderful world of AVN games.

the first porn game I was playing were back in early 2000 with a game called "frank's adventures" it was simple game you had to walk around a map and collect pictures of naked girls and sell them for money. used to play it during my digital illustration classes at school when I was bored.

I think I got here for the first time looking for some obscure hentai eroge i couldn't find anywhere else (I can't say for sure but i think it was vitamin quest), about 10 years ago now I think.

If we're not talking like old newgrounds flash games back in the day. Then it was seeing a headline on twitter about that wicked whims Sims 4 mod. That led me to Loverslabs, and through looking through that site I came across my first AVN which eventually led me to here.

I was around 20-23 and just started to get some disposable income for the first time. Being a long-time Elder Scrolls fanboy, I knew about the adult modding community, so that made me curious about actual adult games. After a bit of searching I found some really crappy 3d animation simulator that was horrendously overpriced and offered very little for the user. So, naturally I purchased it and was immediately unsatisfied. Through further search, I discovered TFGames.

TFGames is a forum dedicated to transformation games, back then it was primarily text-based games, probably still is and I think it's still alive. Most of the games weren't for me, but I did find Free Cities, a game which I absolutely fell in love with. Through FC, I finally made a Reddit account (regret this) to join the Free Cities subreddit. From there I also found the NSFW Gaming subreddit which introduced more games, but more specifically introduced me to the wide world of Patreon developers.

For a few months I browsed Patreon, mostly aimlessly, and subscribed to a bunch of shitty games paying far more than I should have for the latest releases. Most of which were completely garbage. At some point I also discovered HGG from the FC subreddit. It's a mostly dead 8chan board dedicated to adult games. It was pretty decent back then, but is mostly dead now.

Either through HGG, or Reddit, I discovered F95. It changed everything and i haven't looked back.

Oh wow, you are a true veteran of the industry lol. 10 years ago I was fooling around with flash games in college, didn't even know dating games were a genre.

I agree! I'm quite new to AVNs, only played about a dozen or so. But I feel games like Acting Lessons and Eternum are quite wholesome. I'm sure more players would enjoy them if they only knew about them.

I've actually considered trying out Pornhub/Xvideo as a secondary marketing strategy. Was it a play through/"let's play" you came across that sparked your interest? Do you remember what game it was?

First time i came across adult games was from Pornhub was gameplay of someone playing akubur's witch trainer looked into it and found out it was a game then bounced around different sites looking for adult games till i arrived here

I don't like most of the game posted here, i can count on one hand the games I actually find interesting, I don't even like porn in general, I'm usually content with a nude mod or spicy dialogs in my rpg. but there's something about "adults game" that make them more honest, or rather "unfiltered", unlike all other modern media.

For me the ideal porn game is something like the HEAVY METAL magazines from when I was a kid, with great stories and naked peoples fucking and smoking cigarettes, you know, as humans do.

Oh yeah and to add onto that. The reason I found about MnF was because I was looking up sex games online, and why was I doing that ? Because I wanted more control over what type of porn I consumed, because let's be real, most porn is boring af and I need something to get me going.

The first time I actually found out about porn games?

I was on the internet trying to download other whatever things, and I'd keep seeing these ads that would say things like "you won't last 45 seconds playing this game", or stuff like that. I was never interested in those links because they seemed shady af, but I think this was the first time I really became aware of the "porn game" as a big concept.

It took me a while, as in, a number of years, until I started watching the playthroughs of mainstream games on YouTube, where I began to learn that there were people who would come up with mods that would make the characters completely nude. Then I discovered the "rule 34". I know I am a super late bloomer, but this was when I discovered the whole side of the "rule 34-ness", so to speak.

Still, for me it was a gradual process. I never really said something like "oh, I'm so horny so let's play a porn game". My situation was more like, "all these games that I enjoy watching the playthroughs of also seem to have their 'porn parody' versions of those, and now I'm getting pretty curious." That eventually became, "Maybe I could search for a kind of "adult" game that is safe for me to download and play.

I searched for a while until I came across Melody. The rest, as they say, is history.

I don't remember exactly how I found out about modern AVNs: There were the early Flash games but they didn't leave a huge impression on me and I wasn't very impressed by the slew of Meet 'n Fuck games either.

But when I first came upon Summertime Saga, my mind was blown. It was the first porn game I have seen with such production values.
