How do games or movies get uplodaded here?

What I mean is, does the uploader pay with his own cash to the creator's patreon or dlsite page to get access to their releases? And yet updates and versions appear right on time? The only cases I can understand are when the creator makes a post here, but those cases are rare.

Yes, sometimes the uploaders use cash from their own wallets to buy and post the content here, and that's one of the causes of why some users in Patreon make their content EVEN MORE restrictive than it already is. In other cases, people leak content from sites like Kemono Party or Yiff Party (R.I.P.) and then they give that content to the uploaders. In the rare case of creators posting their own content here, it is because they're beign too sucessful to bother, or because they need tips from developers with experience.

Not really that rare; a lot of us started our porn game careers here (I'm a normie gamedev IRL, and decided to make a little porn game for fun, and upload it here for free to share it with people). Initially a lot of the people on my Discord and Patreon page came from F95, so it was definitely worthwhile as an early marketing thing.

Over time some devs stop uploading it themselves; this is specially true once they hit Steam, or once they start doing tiered builds (so $50/tier gets the game Day 1, $20 tier gets it day 7, etc), since it tends to get leaked before they wanted to release it for everyone at day 30 or so.

Personally I still upload the game myself; this is a good community, by and large, and it's my roots to adult gamedev.

Interesting perspective from someone who have experience in this matter. Thanks for sharing the information, mate.

I only upload my public versions here, but I release my early access versions on patreon and itch. My latest versions have ended up here anyway. I'm pretty sure it's just people from itch since it's like $4 or something.

I'd say I'm mad about it, but my game is so early in production that this is probably even a good thing for me. 90% of my user interaction is on this site. I hope to setup a discord on the next release for this stuff, but right now I'm busy fending off people who think girls existing in the same universe as a male character is NTR. The never ending battle.. (I exaggerate massively. I've been mostly spared from the NTR debate.)

I think most devs realize some people are going to pirate their game regardless what they do. Having it here gives them more exposure and some of those people who downloaded it for free will decide they liked it enough to pay for it after the fact because they want to see more from that dev. Plus this site actually is a very good resource for total beginners interested in dipping their toe into the game development pool.

I knew absolutely nothing about game development when I first came here and have zero background in either art or software development. This site has allowed me to get to where I can produce renders with Daz that I'm fairly happy with and I've also gotten good enough with Renpy code to do most of the things I would want to do in a game. I've created my own mod for one of the games here, and have started working on a few full games myself.

So most likely if I get to the point of releasing something publicly, my first release will be entirely free and posted here just to give back to the community here. It would be nice to eventually have some income coming in from Patreon and/or Steam but I'm a long way from a release that I would want to even give people an option to pay for.

Without this site (and the people on the discord server I'm in) my game wouldn't exist. In my case, I uploaded my game here, and the plan is to have a 2 week early start for tier2+ patreons, then the game is published here, on itch, discord and some other sites. No paywalled content or cheats, I just ask to wait two weeks, that's all. I think it's fair.

Some of us were regular forum members, that in time became devs. The impact that this site might have, when you interact enough, is huge.

Before launch, I had a dev thread here for 11 months, the feedback I gained here was invaluable.
