How do I find out whether or not an erotic doujinshi/manga is already in the process of getting translated by someone else?

Recently I was translating an erotic doujinshi that I enjoyed. However, before I was able to finish it, someone else already finished translating the same doujinshi. If I knew that the doujinshi was already being translated by someone else, I wouldn't have spent time translating it by myself. Now it felt like all my efforts was completely wasted. That being said, how do I find out that the doujinshi I'm translating is already in the process of getting translated by someone else?

By asking every one who read Japanese and write English is they are currently translating something.

It can seem rude as answer, but it's the only possible one. I mean, apparently you said to no one that you were translating that doujinshi, and the same apply for the one who was doing the translation on his own side. But even if all translators were coordinating their efforts, it wouldn't prevent a member to find a translation that have just been published on another site, and to propose it here.

So, outside of following all the doujinshi translation related forums/discord servers, there's just no way to know. And even while doing this, there's no guaranty that someone isn't also working on it.
