How do I get authorization to upload a video/animation?

I'd like to upload an animated video I created, but the animations forum says I don't have "authorization".

I suspect I probably just need to post a few threads to build up my rep first. Or am I wrong?

I'm the creator/uploader. The forum I wish to upload to is the Animations | Videos forum.

At the bottom of the page, it says: "You have insufficient privileges to post threads here."

After you're done:
Report your own thread, tag it as Game update or Comic / Animation Update and state that it needs to be moved.
