How do i get rid of the side bars?

Hello

Does anyone know why my images don't fill the space? I've started a new project at the recommended settings but i have these gray bars on either side of mt image. How do i get rid of them. Many thanks

Make sure your renpy project is 1920x1080 and your rendered images are also 1920x1080.

thanks for the reply but if i set the pixel size to 1920x1080 the ratio comes out at 16:9 is that right? it looks to much like widescreen. Sorry total newbie to all this.

That's exactly right, it's meant to be widescreen unless you are not intending it for a widescreen monitor.

I just want the image to fill out the space of the renpy game screen so i dont have borders

Whatever you choose here, your images have to be the same size, or they will be too big or too small.
