How do you control yourself?

Now I will come to this forum every day, and then play games crazily, and it will never end. Before I know it, I am exhausted. This has been going on for a month or two. I think I need to control myself well. What should I do? How do you keep yourself in a good routine?
I played almost from morning till early morning.

- Have a job
- Have a romantic partner
- Have a hobby
- Go out for walks
- Wank one out right in the morning
- Reserve H game sessions only for days when the partner is at work and I'm off

Bolded are the simplest and most effective ways of taking a break from the life of a c00mer such as myself.

I know how I am at my worst ; I feel very heavy and very bad ; I remember how awful it feels, how disgraceful I am and it keeps me away from it most of the time. Apart from that, I have things I like to do. Doing what you like keep you in good shape physically and mentally.

So, all in all, do things that make you feel alive, know yourself at your worst - and don't be afraid to tell yourself you're doing shit.

Others pretty much covered it, typically life controls you, whether you want it to or not.

You'll get bored/tired of playing non-stop eventually. If there aren't many other things that you rather be doing (watching a movie/show, playing non-porn games, going out, if you have a reason to, etc) then you will just be stuck doing what you are doing until you feel the need to move on. Also, you can try to find something new to get into.

Either you control your body, or it controls you.

Month or two? That's rookie numbers.

Seriously though, you'll soon get bored as the new games you find will have more and more stuff that you've seen before, repeating tropes, character models and so on. How is this worse than any other binge hobby like gaming or TV shows? The only problem I can see is that you can't really talk about it to your friends, unless you're that comfortable with them, which I reckon is pretty rare.

So, unless, you're young and need to study - I'd say enjoy it while it lasts.

enjoy it while it lasts. you'll have soon exhausted all the 'good games' and find nothing for weeks. then weeks turn to months, and soon you'll be making yet another "why are there no good <insert genre> games coming out anymore?" -thread.

Balance is good and you currently feel your life is unbalanced. Try to add more, "positive" commitments to your life like work, volunteering, studying, working out etc. You don't have to stop fapping (god forbid!) just add other, more beneficial elements into your life.

First off, stop seeing it as a big problem. Problems get bigger based on your view. Instead, see it as an habit that you want to tamper off, so that your brain won't carpet bomb your mood with negativity. You'd be surprised how a small change of word affects the way you feel psychological wise. With that out of the way, you'll be cutting off a respectable amount of dopamine source from the habit, so you'll need to replace it with another dopamine rewarding habit. Be it taking walks for few hours, cardio, reading.

I must add though, being porn free doesn't do a lot. I myself don't watch porn content, only play h-games like once in a week, and i don't consider myself a happy person.

While I'll admit that maybe half of the games and VNs I've grabbed from this website have sat on my external harddrive for years without ever being played, my fairly effective approach to avoid jerking off every two seconds is to write down my impulses instead of acting on them. Gotten me to a fairly consistent once or twice a week average.

Feel the urge to play a specific game? Get the note function on your phone or computer and type the name. Specific depraved kink? Write it down too. Your favourite nostalgic 2D waifu? On the note. This way you acknowledge the thoughts are there instead of repressing them, so it's easier to avoid dwelling. Typically the urge will then vanish over time, usually replaced by a different one. It's hilarious reading over the stuff I've written down over the work week when Saturday arrives and realising I'm not interested in the majority of it at that point, and the one or two things I might still be interested in are all the sweeter for it. Also interesting seeing the topics that keep popping up every week, lets you understand yourself a bit more.

And honestly yes, work is a god send in general for people like us. Idle hands are the devil's plaything and all that. Definitely avoid cold turkey approaches, I tried that back when NoFap became a thing and it just made me hate myself when I inevitably failed. Compromise is the right idea to have, neither your brain or your body will ever have complete control.
