There are games that pretend to be sandbox but in fact always have just one active quest making it effectively another VN
There are games, that have rpg tag, but give +1 stat only when its needed to progress the story.
There are games with "free exploration", that open new locations only when I have done everything in previous one.
I've tried filtering out VN's. looking for sandboxes, rpg, management. And it doesnt help much.
Yeah, I've found some gameplay-focused games, but they are minority. Its a success to find 1 playable game among 10 VN's disguised as games.
