How do you install bug fixes?

Ok I will admit I am a beginner with computer but I am trying to find an answer for a long time. I maybe on the wrong part of this forum and If I am, I am sorry.

How can I apply or install a bug fix on a ren'py game. Yeah I know I am a noob in that, but I am totally unaware of how. Since yesterday I have tried to install the bug fix on the game Bastard girl remake and I have been unable to.

Can someone please tell me how.

Every Ren'py game has three folders: "renpy", "lib" and "game". I guess you must unzip the bug fix, if it's an archive, and move the files into the last folder. Overwrite the existing files and restart the game.
