How do you tag a user?

I keep trying to figure this out and I've searched, but nothing seems to bring up the correct code, and unless i just copy/paste it never works. Have I just missed a submenu in the post editor?

@Segnbora do you mean like this or did i misunderstand the question?(How do you tag a user?)

the 'code' is -

[USER=185175]@Segnbora[/USER]

but if you simply type"@" and start typing the user's name, it should automatically give you the username starting with the letters you have already typed in. hope that helps.

Exactly what I mean. What's the code or click or tag to auto-generate the user number while getting an @ sign rather than a regular link?

God fucking damn it, I can't believe it was that easy and I just never figured it out. Worst of all, this was the first thing I tried but I must have started with a typo because it never worked.
