What mechanical purpose does earning money fulfil in the first place? If you only need to handwave logistics make the player born into riches, give them an inheritance or some supernatural blessing if appropriate. If you want to pace out specific features allow the player to pay in sexual favours. In that approach ideally each harem member would have her own set of skills and contributions e.g. one loves sewing new outfits, one is a carpenter, one tinkers with sex toys and helpful gadgets etc. and if for some reason a non-harem path is included you can always add a cookie cutter non-sexual job and pay them as "just friends". Or just give each girl a regular non-sexual job and weasel in whatever management mechanic you need, most likely either being able to fool around at their workplace to decrease productivity or motivating them to work harder by spending time with them/helping out/"helping ".

Rather than NTR what strikes me about all your suggestions is that they objectify the women you are supposed to have a loving relationship with in a rather literal way: you describe them as commodities to be traded for cash rather than as partners who aid you in your endeavours. If that is the basis then you're basically reducing it to a fetish popularity poll.

That's not the MC earning money, that's his or her LIs earning money. Your focus is seemingly on the women exclusively, but the solution's simple: let the MC work. You won't expect a jobless and penniless MC to plausibly have a harem anyway.

Why does the work have to be sexual in the first place? Many sandboxes have nonsexual work, that can be in addition to sexual work or not. So what about the LIs doing nonsexual regular, maybe with sexual work as an alternative. You could even go for two paths where one's about building a slow and steady career against one that's quick and dirty but where getting back to a normal career is blocked out.

And anything remotely sexual is going to be seen as NTR-y or as hinting at NTR by someone. The way to go isn't trying to please everybody, it's choosing your target audience and be clear about it.

Anyway, here's a suggestion of a sexy business for a male MC that also includes LIs: The MC like many of those MCs has a 50 cm standard-issue "Mandingo Killer" groin hog and likes to fuck clients on the side. but they don't have anything to do with harem. harem is the opposite of sharing. all the girls are for you and you only. thus, the only ways to bankroll a harem household are NONsexual. the wives can work, and support the household, but sex work would be cheating.

then again, as I know your point isn't to stay within the concept of harem but instead the mechanics of 1 man + many women: if we switch the concept to sharing, all those harem limitations disappear.

They probably have aspirations, careers, etc. Just make them pay rent (hopefully the house/mansion is yours, otherwise, get that loan to buy it, repay the rates/interest simply by having each girl pay their share of the rent), or possibly a certain high percentage of their earning goes towards the household. Those in college or university who can only do part time can do that... but there's possibly at least one high earner in said harem.
