How does the "Latest Updates" works?

I typically browse the page once a day to check for updates.
However, I’ve noticed that when I revisit previous pages, some games have been added retroactively but weren’t visible during my initial check and some game updates don’t appear on the page at all.
This has caused me to miss updates I was waiting, as I only check once daily.

I hope I’ve explained my issue clearly.
Thank you in advance for your help.

For a game to appear on Latest Updates it must be older than 14 days, so if a game updates every week, you won't see it every week but only twice a month.
The update, to be elegible to appear on Latest Update, must also contain accessible content so if an update contains content behind a paywall (requiring a code) or just bug fixes, it won't be promoted there.

There's also a small delay between the promotion and actually appearing on Latest Updates. Sometimes I had my game promoted, and appear on latest updates after 20-30 minutes.

Thanks for your answer, the paywall content and bugfixes explain a lot now.
