How not to lose seen text when reinstalling Windows?

Hi,

I've encountered this issue several times: after reinstalling Windows (not before saving the Appdata Renpy folder), I can find my saves without any issues, as expected, but the 'seen text' status isn't carried over.

What am I missing? Game folder is on a different drive, so not affected by the reinstall.

seen text status is saved in the persistent file for each renpy game

So saving the Renpy folder in AppData/Roaming should be enough, right?

yeah it should be. but not sure if the "copy protection" feature in the newer renpy versions, would prevent it from working. i usually restart games from scratch when replaying anyway alternatively, you could turn on the "skip unseen text" setting in the options of each game, and just use "tab" or "ctrl" to skip through any content you have already seen
