Others How to change resolution for unity games?

I've been having this problem for a long time with most unity games that i download from here, the problem being that the resolution will be super bad with seemingly no way of changing it, especially as most newer unity games dont even have resolution options.

I don't know if this is just a me problem somehow seeing as noone ever seems to comment about it anywhere, even though its incredibly annoying and cuts out a lot of important ui, and also anything i search up just doesnt help at all or are all tutorials on how to set it if YOU are making the game.

So i'm basically asking if theres some set resolution that all unity games default to that i'm unaware of (my resolution is 1600x1200) and if there is or even if there isnt, how can i change the resolution for unity games that dont have built in options.

Any help would be appreciated.

(also unless im stupid there doesnt seem to be a flare for unity for some reason so i just put it as other)

The issue is not you (aside from picking a weirdly sized monitor), but the dev's. Unfortunately, while Ren'Py will automatically scale things for you, Unity requires the dev to actually code that feature - and most don't.
Most also use 16:9, making the need to code said feature something they don't even consider, until it's pointed out by someone.

If you try my unity games (Vox Gremory or even Legacy of Hestia) you should notice that everything scales up well (By filling the empty spaces with black bars, since the native resolution is 16:9) and even let you change resolution in the settings.
So, the best way to fix said issue is to contact the devs of those games and let them know about the issue.

I have had good experiences with regedits like shown in this video .
Not sure if that really works for all games or if it always scales properly. I think I got some games from here to go fullscreen and it looked decent enough. Might be worth a shot.

Aw man that sucks that i'd have to ask the dev of each game individually to add that, but thank you for the information i didnt know it was just because they didnt add that feature.
