Hello everyone, although I have been on the forum for quite a long time, I recently encountered a problem that Mega and Pixeldrain introduced restrictions on downloading files. So, I would like to ask you if there is any way to bypass these restrictions or the ability to download from other services where the download speed is normal. I will be very grateful for every answer. Thank you!

I run into the exact same issues you do. When it comes to large files I use
1. rpdl-net. The first link will take you to their f95zone forum page. They are a great bunch over
there ane will help you out a lot.

2. This is their website where you can also search for f95 games. I think you will have to register BUT
it's not a big deal. You don't even have to give an email address or anything, so far as I know. You just
setup a username and password.

3. This is A program you can use for torrents. I use it because it's popular and simple. There are many others.

You will see the good folks from rpdl all over the f95 forums posting links to torrent downloads and helping people.
For me it's usually much quicker to use torrents than some of the other options, but that's just me.

Hope this helps and doesn't confuse.
Cheers

qBit is a great suggestion. I used to use back in the day, but it became quite a slow and cumbersome platform after some time. Even force-starting a torrent with a download in progress took forever. QBit is a lot more streamlined I find based on personal use.

is also a strong option as well. It's lightweight and open source, as well as a too (similar to RPDL). But you might suffer some bandwidth/throttling issues when trying to download multiple torrents in parallel when using Deluge. But again, depends on your ISP/internet connection speeds.

I'd highly recommend trying out qBittorrent, at least for a couple of days to gauge the differences.

uTorrent 2.2.1 was great, I know because I used it and did up until about ~10ish years ago. It just worked and to be fair, it mostly still does. One giant negative though is that its closed-source. For example, if there's a vulnerability in utorrent-2.2.1 like the Windows IPV6 RCE that happened a few weeks ago, you'll pretty much never know about it. That's a decent risk to take for a client that you generally leave idle and connected to the internet 24/7. It's nearly 15 years old too, and some features like "net_bind" just don't work at all and obviously won't get fixed.

qBittorrent has its issues too but it's maintained and receives almost daily commits. It is by pretty much any metric the successor. TBH I wish they updated their site to make it look more modern. It feels like something straight out of 2005 and I bet it turns some people away.

Yeah, I second that. QBit's site looks quite antiquated in terms of how the UX elements of the page are laid out. People might get dissuaded by it and decide not to download their client because they might think their downloading malware or its a scam site or something
