I've seen a lot of 2D AI games as of late with animated CG's and was curious to what app or site people are using to create these?

Most of them use Live2D (or other alternatives, some even use adobe), so they're manually animated.

Others do use AI, but the result isn't as good imho. Those who do either run their models (require big GPU) or rent/use it on a website like Civitai, either way, money is involved.
If you're interested in the type of AI they use, I seem to recall it was called "wan 2.1" but I might be misremembering here.
There's also veo3, but that's good for SFW.

Would this be the case for lewd games? cause I see that most sites require images to be sfw in order to use and Im trying to figure out how the lewd game makers do it

wan 2.2 animate (wananimate some call it) is pretty amazing also. You just film yourself as the reference and the workflow will animate the reference image doing the same thing.

So hire a super hot actress and tell her you need to do some reference videos for your naughty game! :p

What I'm prototyping these days is creating CG using DAZ3d characters and a nice render in Blender. Then use that render to produce an AI image. I only allow the AI to barely change the image so I can get better skin and hair without killing myself in Blender. This is the best way to keep the AI consistent image to image.. like background, clothes, hair.. it will all be exactly the same for every image because you are not letting the AI produce an entirely new image. You are doing 80% - 90% of the work though. Then I'm testing out running that image through WAN2.2 to get animation (just started playing with wananimate but I don't have anything I can show yet).

Here is an example. Initially created in Daz3D, rendered in Blender then adjusted and rendered again in Krita using it's AI Diffusion plugin. I use Krita so I can paint out anything I don't like.

This is run locally on a 5090 (takes about 3 minutes). The reason to run locally is for the NSFW parts really. Otherwise, you can just use Kling.
