Daz How was these scenes lit up?

Are there any pros out there who may have an idea of how these scenes were lit? :)

I'm wondering how they got the light to be distributed so evenly, creating such a soft light.

It's almost for sure they were layered. The first two images look like the foreground was rendered separately from the background. Then the background was blurred with a Gaussian blur of some sort and the layers put together. You can do bright even lighted BG's like that pretty easily. Actually it's a lot harder to do a realistic low-light environment than a bright one like these. Just a basic dome HDR and having the walls behind the camera and the ceiling hidden would create a bright image. The foreground is another dome or possibly a standard 3 spot lighting.

As for that last image... looks to me like an HDRI dome (forest and pavement). Probably done in two shots is my guess, because HDRI domes are great for bright fast renders but tend to wash out character details and shadows, so I figure this person rendered the man a second time alone and layered that on top in post.

The third one doesn't look like an HDRI to me (it's a bit too 3D). Probably he used a biome from the with the .
However, the character's shadow looks odd on the right foot - the sun must be just above it, probably...

Hey guys, thanks for taking time out of your day to leave a reply. It's much appreciated.

The whole laying multiple images together never crossed my mind, but it makes a lot of sense, because usually that bright ambient light would interfere with the lighting on the figures.
