VN - Ren'Py - Hypnosis [v1.5.1b] [Expanding Universe Games]

Okay so first off, most adult games at somepoint have to choose between focusing on the sex or the plot. This games manage to fuse them both smoothly.

So the plot is your basic hypnosis hentai (c'mon if you're reading this review you know what i'm talking about) but this one doesn' go full "revenge hypnosis sex, the hypnosis works actually in a very subtle way and the game develops quite well the moral ambiguety of using such powers and the consent of the partners leaving you at least in a little part of the back your head thinking i'm a good guy? I'm being their to the girls? and so on. The writting is also quite good, making the story a lot more engaging and alive. The plot is very straight forward (you hypnotise the girls to be more amicable to you, they start to develop feeling, or do they? and so on) till the latest updates that has a plot twist that spices things quite a bit, there a quite some hours of content and really the choices are delivered in a way that lefts you thinking which one do i want to choose right now?, talking about choices that hav emore meaning than just wanting to fuck now and what position and which hole, the choices feel impactful to the development of the story and your relationship with the characters.

Now let's talk about the characters. Personally a kinda turn-off (barely) for me in most games is actually the main player, specially when it's ME, but in this game it feels quite easily to fit in the shoes of the MC and think hey i would have been done the same if i would have been in his place (which we kinda are). Now, the main course, the girls, every girl feels unique and charming in their own way, something kinda difficult to do with so many interacting characters, but you care (even about the MC friend, it feels so smooth that you want to throw him a bone despite like in every game you have the chance to have a harem you try to hoard every breathing being with a fuckable hole), this is not something i say about a lot of games but i cared about everygirl in this game, wanting to make everyone of them happy and feeling a bit guilty if i made something that upseted them.

Again all this care to these characters is thanks to the really well written dialogue and story.

The music is good (no soundtrack feels like worth of being a ringtone but they fit their scenes well enough).

The textures are quite decent for this kind of graphical design (dunno if it has a name) that at least the way i describe it "japanese 3d artstyle", ever played 3d eroges like Rapelay? Something like that, the animations could receive a some more polishment (and the textures too) but it works well enough and it's not a priority to improve.

Certainly a top notch game in development that has quite a lot of potential.

The title is a bit misleading, this game contain hypnosis, but not mind-control that you would expect, hypnosis in this game is used primarily for breast expansion.
As i'm not a fan of mind-control i'm glad that's the case, if you are, then reduce the rating by 1 star.
Other than that, renders are good (4/5), characters look great (4.5/5), sex scenes are good (4/5).
The strongest point of this game is writing, every character is different and interesting, story is good, and it works great with the rest of the game.

Last but not least, the game is about to be finished. Yes, a good, finished game with a lot of content.

Game is okay, well good...only thing that lets this game down is what was used to make it, if daz and renpy where used would be loving it, story give you a bad taste but then make up for it in those monents that put a smile on your mug

The best breast expansion game in my opinion, the dialogs are fun, the story is alright, the growth is not too fast, nor too slow. I like that the characters are all different. Great game, keep it up!

So the best part of this game by far is the dialogue, it reads very well and has all those stupid little pop culture references that I get! Most porn games have terrible dialogue and story which you just skip to see the porn, but this one is different. In truth the porn aspect is kinda meh really, the render quality and animations could do with some work.

The mind control angle is cool, but barely used even after ten episodes its only now becoming more prevalent. Naturally the in game dialogue references the fact the MC hasn't done squat with his mind control abilities. How the mind control aspect is handled going forward will be tricky, personally the darker the better, but we'll see.

Kinks have been pretty vanilla up to this point, with some body growth stuff and a side helping of pregnancy sluttery. Be interesting to see what other things pop up as time goes on.

The beginning is kind of meh and I almost dropped it, but I feel it really gets better over time as the dev finds his footing. The renders aren't that stand-out to me (Grace is my favorite by a very large margin), but the fetishes really make the game, as I really enjoy this sort of relatively subtle mental corruption and the experience of pushing the girls to get bigger and bigger even past the point where they themselves are mostly satisfied. There's something quite lewd about encouraging them to get massive, overly sexualized tits that are actually an inconvenience to them purely to turn you on. So yeah, I quite enjoyed the game in the end. We currently seem to be heading into impregnation content which is also a major fetish for me, so I'm looking forward to future updates.

I don't know who I could recommend this game to...

The renders are mediocre at best, with realistic backgrounds taken from google images and characters in low resolution. Sometimes there are backgrounds made in 3d, which takes a lot out of the atmosphere of the story. The animations show laziness, with heads piercing the crotch or hands floating in the air without holding the girl's head.

The story also has quite a few inconsistencies according to some choices. It is also not something that stands out above other very superior games in this forum.

There is no music or sounds. I could overlook this if its other features stood out in any way.

In short, it's a game that shows a lot of laziness.

I really enjoyed this game. One of my favorite. Many different characters with unique personalities. The story is a little bit silly, but it serves well as a vehicle for interesting character interactions.

I played v0.6.2 and I have to say overall I am not impressed how this game as a whole is put together. This game is a pure visual novel but it is not tagged as such. It gives the illusion of choice. But from the start you have none. You are herded down the paths the game wants and that is that. Hell, I have even had conversations with characters about events in game that never happened on my playthroughs, but the game assumes they happened as it does not take into account I chose not to do certain things and just assumes they occurred. The game highlights making sure not to do certain things because the girls go to a small school and they talk. Well then don't assume I did such things and also then don't force me into situations by taking choices out of my hands.

The story is sloppy in that regard and I am assuming the high rating this game is getting from my point of view is because some people are really into the fetish elements the game gives options to or just ignored the game forces things on you or just really play into the harem thing. All valid points if true because if that is their experience then that is perfectly fine.

I played numerous ways and began to get suspicious after certain lines of dialogue were said to my character on things that I never did. I can tell you the end of this version at the pool party always plays out the same. I want to stay light on the spoilers so as not to ruin for people. But by all means mail me and challenge me if you wish and I will go back if I have to and log all the irregularities.

All in all a below average game, I was not blown away by the renders, the story is forced visual novel style and in that case just stop pretending there is choice as no matter what this versions ending is playing out the same way.

If you liked the game or had a different experience, great. I am always happy you got what you wanted out of a game. But I can only post what I experienced as this is my review. I always try to explain as best I can also. If I play in the future I will of course update my review.

Love the girls and different personalities between them. Story may be a little out there, but just use your imagination. Your friend gets in the way sometimes throwing that pity tantrum towards you. Some of the girls get annoying too.

This game is one of the better ones I've played. It's deceptively full of story content and some decent situational humor. When I started it and it went almost immediately into hypno sex I thought to myself, wow ok - no story. But no. It develops all of the characters more than expected, and gives ACTUAL CHOICES (unlike many VNs). The only reason I'm subtracting a star is the Honey Select work. I get it, but a couple of the girls have that unfortunate "I came from this template and had a failed nose job" look. But the game itself is great, and I look forward to more!

The art is actually really shitty. Saw the game for a year popping out every so often on my feed. It had all the tags I wanted and am interested in but art repelled me better than Raid. Anyway, managed to play everything there is to play on this site so decided to give it a try. Really not bad. Impregnation dirty talk is implemented really well and sex scenes are hilarious, made good by the dirty talk but MC's dick looks like Hot dog with two potatoes badly glued to it, and some sex scenes simply fade out before finishing. Played the latest version of the game and I found it hilarious, in a good way. The story is odd, but that is where the beauty of the game lies, its odd, its different and it brings you back for more.

The sex scenes are abundant and keeps you entertained for long, the animations are also well executed.

I haven't really paid attention to grammar, given that the language used is colloquial it can get away with minor mistakes here and there.

Now, this game was meant for casual game play, this game is not for you if you look for incredible mind play (fuck) that is going to bamboozle you with logic and brain blast moments.

Now, it would be interesting if the developer creates a polar opposite of this game for the likes of the serious gamer(s) who would love to rub/jill one out while having their brains blasted (Jimmy Neutron, carl is the original MILF lover ).

In-depth:
This game gives me mixed feelings.

On one hand, the animations are generic, the render quality isn't the highest, the characters aren't exactly pretty...
But on the other hand, the characters and situtations are rather unique. I honestly don't remember seeing anything like that... ever? Well, maybe that's an overstatement, but still, there are many scenes that just don't happen in modern games all that often. And I love it.

This game could be so much more if the developer took time to make unique animations or at least take some time to play with camera angles, fov, filter and all that jazz to make this game look better.

Besides, the fact that girls are basically bound to routes you choose for them makes this game way less interactive than I would like. Which is again a shame, especially since there are very promising elements of customization here, like deciding the boob size of some girls. It's not all that bad, since the routes do differ somewhat, but you still feel like you're on the rails after your initial choices.

This game has tons of potential. But I don't know if it will ever achieve it. I have a feeling that if this game is finished and the dev makes another one, that other one will be fantastic. While this will stay an unfortunate first try.

Still, if you can get over the fact that it looks like a very generic, amateurish bunch of HS scenes, I'd still recommend to try it, because the writing isn't bad and again, the situations you find yourself in are, for once, truly original, which is refreshing.

Very good and realistic writing, the premise seems quite far fetched, but the dev sells it.
The girls all have their own personalities and quirks and the scenes are hot. The animations are a bit janky, but I reckon that's just nitpicking at this point.
I expect great things in the future from this game.

I remember trying it many updates ago and thinking it was a bit strange, then forgetting all about it.

Having stumbled upon it again, I decided to see how the game had progressed and Wow, I was not disappointed. The dev is an alchemist, turned this game from copper into gold.

While the renders may not be the best, the lewd scenes are plentiful and really, really hot . There are very few games where the lewd scenes are so well written.

Moving this game towards the top of my watch list. Will definitely keep a close eye on this one and supporting it on patreon.

I have to give this 5 stars despite my general disdain for virtual novel format games. Why? Because I LOVE breast expansion plots and this is simply the best one. And it's not a pure rail-road either, your choices definitely have some effect.

I've played almost everything with breast expansion in it and this game is one of very few that doesn't go off the transformation/sissification deep end. It's also a compelling plot with HILARIOUS banter.

Well done, keep it up, and I can only hope that the sizes get a bit bigger, as they are quite tame right now (and more focus on the growth as far as framing/pictures go would be nice).

This is quite a nice game, the only thing that keeps me from giving a 5 star is the girls models quality not at the top of what you can see nowadays. But that is the problem with Illusion's engines, they are good only for anime based asian looking models. Animations are better than Daz based games but the overall render quality much worse.

That being said this game shows maybe the best of what can be achieved with the engine limitations and is quite enjoyable despite not having the best looks out there. I would recommend to try it out, maybe if this art style suits you it can be a very pleasant experience.
