Seeking I am looking for AVN's like Avalon, Acting Lessons, Leap of Faith, Depraved Awakening, etc.

I know that emotional story driven games aren't the most popular among the Adult Visual Novel community most of you are just here for the sexual stuff but i am seeking avn's with a good thought out meaningful and emotional story as well as some sexual stuff. Don't get me wrong i enjoy the sexual stuff but i like to have a little story behind it most of the avn's i have played have been 90% about sex and 10% story and i enjoy the story behind them as much if not more than the sex.

I have played Avalon, Acting Lessons, Leap of Faith, Depraved Awakening, Melody, Halfway House, Artemis, A.O.A. Academy and a few others with a good story.

I don't mind games where you try to get with as many women as possible or incestuous relationships as long as they aren't to overboard or stupidly unrealistic.
Any recommendations will be much appreciated.

From your list and sig, you played most of the ones I enjoyed and would consider high tier. I suggest Chasing Sunsets, City of Broken Dreamers if you haven't tried and maybe Summer Scent.

There are many others of varying degrees of quality, I kinda tend to refrain from recommending, because I kept getting recommended titles from list such as 'As good as - insert all of the top one you just did' and I go into the game with high expectations and end up hating the game a bit more then it deserves, even if its just an average work.

Oh, I forgot about Intertwined, its made by a girl so you might get a different perspective on the genre, but it doesn't have music, which I really like in VN, but is really well made overall.

Honestly even if its a game you think most people wouldn't like recommend it i will give it a shot if nothing else it will just go on the list of games i quit playing. I try to go into playing new stuff with an open mind and no expectations seeing as a lot of the pictures and descriptions on this site aren't the best.

Like you I prefer games that put in the work to give the characters' actions and relationships meaning and grab the player by the feels. So I'll make sure to try the games from your list I haven't played yet.

In return I'll list a few of my personal favourites below. They're all very well written, have lots of characters that are motivated by more than the protagonist's amazing pornstar dick, feature interesting and moving relationship arcs and well made art.
Maybe you'll enjoy some of them as well:

Being a DIK - Same author as Acting Lessons (which I also really love); the scenario may seem simple and tired (guy starting with college), but the game most definitely isn't; lovely women, lots of content, fun mini games, good soundtrack, good replayability... Can barely recommend it enough.

Price of Power - Concentrates (for now at least) on a single romantic relationship between the protagonist and his returned childhood friend, giving it lots of space to grow and play out; medieval scenario; haven't played this through to the (current) end yet, but as far as I've come it's certainly a gem with many sweet (and increasingly hot) moments between the main characters.

Oathbreaker 1+ Oathbreaker 2 - High fantasy scenario; female warlock protagonist tries to survive the complicated politics of the world, finding friends and lovers on the way; long story with many twists (and a few semi-explicit sexual encounters).
Though the art is conisderably worse I'd still recommend starting with part one, as part two doesn't do a particularly good job of introducing the player to the many factions and conflicts of the world.

Pale Carnations - A bit more 'lust-focused' than the previous two games in particular, but still a lot deeper than most; fun contemporary scenario with the protagonist starting to work at a shady high-class brothel run by one of his former mentors; quite a lot of content.

Light of my Life - Concentrates on the increasingly incestous relationship between the protagonist and his two daughters 'wards' after their mother's death; there are other women, but it's clear the game's focus is on the family. Another one that takes the time to develop its characters and their relationships slowly. As far as I'm concerned one of the paths features about the best build up (and ultimately release) of sexual and romantic tension I've encountered so far in any adult VN. The character art is unique, but don't let it turn you of if it's not your style at first glance.

City of Broken Dreamers - Already mentioned in the thread; just have to recommend it again. Bounced off of it at first, but loved it once it grabbed me. High production value.

Thanks for the recommendations. I have already played Being a Dik and Oathbreaker doesn't really look like my cup of tea i am not really into the whole mythical race thing but i will check the rest of them out.

I saw most of these before. But i thought nearly none of them is finished yet right? So i would second op's search, with the stipulation that the game has to be a finished project. What will this leave me with? I played Depraved Awakening. Some of Melody (would need to replay that to completion sometime). I also played Acting Lessons many years ago. None of the games on his list accept for Oathbreaker 1 are actually complete. If you are looking for complete games with a decent story i would recommend you check out Something to Write About: The Author and Avalon (if you don't mind incest) if you haven't already they both have fairly good stories in my opinion.

You're welcome and there's actually a silver lining on the horizon in that Oathbreaker 2 is supposedly only one update away from being complete.
Might take a while till that comes though. As of now there are so many story threads left dangling the update must be substantial to satisfy them all. Especially since the author seems to have little interest in writing a third part any time soon...

Anyway, speaking of lesbian content and completed games:
If you're ok with a VN that's fairly light on the smut another recommendation just came to my mind:

A Summer's End - Lovely wholesome girl on girl romance set in 1980's Hong Kong. Sweet, melancholic, great hand drawn art, nice soundtrack. Loved it so much I immediately bought it on Steam after my first playthrough.

Swing & a Miss - if you are okay with being Cucked then this is perfect. My favorite adult game ever. Seriously confused by the low rating I gotta assume it's because of the hatred NTR always gets or maybe lack of meaningful decisions. That part is true but it's written so well and is very moving that I don't mind not seeing different plot points unfold.

Fantasy Valley - another kinetic novel, no choices to speak of. Granted, I'm only on chapter 4 of 10 but there was quite a bit of meat to it up until this point and the writing is very strong, with some unexpectedly believable characters/relationships. It has some light comedy and doesn't seem to be too serious or emotionally moving. Something along the lines of harry potter in some ways just with a different setting.

Also someone else mentioned Light of My Life. If you haven't tried it I really hope you give it a shot. I looked at it like 5 times and kept skipping due to look of the girls, went for it at some point and almost immediately you forget about that and come to appreciate at least the older daughter's looks by the end of the game. The creator is obviously very talented at writing and building solid connections between characters. I especially enjoyed the stories of a group of 3 older ladies the MC works with each having their own specific desires

I will check it out. Looking at the pictures it looks pretty good. I will let you know what i think of it after i play it. About the only turn off i see with it is no animations but in the long run i will play it as animations don't matter that much its just nice to have them for the sex scenes.

Yea there is not a tag saying it has animations on the post for it that's what made me think it didn't. My bad sorry for assuming without trying the game usually the mods are accurate with tagging but not always guess they missed a couple for your game.

I wrote a review on the f95 post for your game. Overall great game i really enjoyed what is there is so far. Look at the review if you want a little more in depth rating. As i said on the review sorry if it looks like a jumbles mess i am not the best at doing things like that.

Thanks, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm definitely looking to try and improve some stuff (Like the banner you mentioned). I probably at some point also want to clean up the intro a little bit, I've just been so focused on trying to handle new content, I haven't gotten around to it - but it's on the list. Thanks for the review, and I hope you find plenty more games you enjoy. (I'd suggest some, but you seem to have already played all the ones I would normally suggest!)
