Seeking I don't like 3d games and I'm bored of Japanese games

I find that this kind of traps me in a weird spot where I honestly cannot find any more interesting games. Or perhaps I just don't know about them.

The thing is, I find that 3d games often looks strange. I like the 2dcg better. But a lot of the 2dcg comes from Japanese games, and I'm just bored to death by their oftentimes weak plots and repetitive tropes. It's almost like they all used the same manual to create the stories. In any case, I've played a bunch of them.

I like stuff such as Claire's Quest (Dystopian project), Good Girl Gone Bad and Seeds of Chaos. Don't get me wrong, I like some of the Japanese too; Liz, Tower and Grimoire was decent and and so was Meritocracy of the Oni Blade.

I still like RPGM games, but the grinding is getting to me.

Fantasy Valley has a very unique look, which might not be for everyone, but it's a nice story full of great humor.
Milky Touch It's been a while since I played it and it was rather slow (both in getting to the fun and the fun itself), but damn, it looks nice.
S.H.E.L.T.E.R. Repopulate the world. For each girl there's a romance and a domination route, which changes the tone drastically.

Thank you for your suggestions as well! I've seen Fantasy valley and Shelter before, but not Milky Touch. That game seem quite interesting as it (supposedly) offer a deeper story.

I suppose one of my "problems" are that I've come to expect too much these sort of games. This could probably be a thread on its own, so I won't go too much into it.
The thing is that I look for a story that isn't too forced. For instance, many Japanese style/made usually have some ridiculous plots such as "you looked through my window, now you must have sex with me". Or they use the same old tropes of "you must protect your virginity and literally all the men/monsters wants to rape you".

Of course, not all games are as shallow as that. But I like a good story - also some stories where you might not want to fuck literally everything that breath - or where you can't fuck them even if you wanted to, perhaps because they have some integrity to their husband etc.

My expectations to the story of adult games has probably become way, waaaaaay too high though. I should learn to lower it.

Thank you for the suggestion. I don't know why people call them cartoonish - maybe the colored hair and makeup etc? It's well made for sure, but I'm not much of a fan of 3D games, and your game is very much a 3D game.
