Greetings, fellow members! How are you?

First of all, I'd like to apologize for the repost, in case there any other threads like this one.

Having that said, I wanted to share my toughts towards erotic art / hentai / NSFW art, whatever you wanna call it. I've always felt like this about it, and I wanted to talk to people that might feel the same way, and I believe that F95 might be the best place to do it!

The thing is, I simply LOVE NSFW art. To add some context, I'm a heterosexual man, in his 20's and I grew up watching cartoons/anime and playing games, so I've always been exposed to beautiful female characters, and it's only natural that you develop kinda of a 'crush' towards them. I mean, what teenager doesn't remember Lara Croft, or even Ahri from League of Legends, for example. They're beautiful characters, and not only that, but some of these characters are very well written, voiced over and developed , giving them tons of personality.

Then, as any other pervert, I used to search for R34 of those characters, and at the time I felt kinda bad about it. I mean, hentai always had a bad reputation, and I always feared what my friends would think of me if they knew that I enjoyed looking at those pictures.

But, time has passed, and as a grown up man who still admires artwork like this, I feel like I finally lost shame in it. It's not like I'm gonna tell everybody that I watch HydraFXX animations in the dead of the night or something lol, not even intend to talk about this to anyone, but I don't feel bad about it like I used to a few months back. I've always felt kinda shitty, like, what kind of adult likes to watch animated porn anyways, right? But this such a stupid thought, I mean, this shit is made for adults in the first place!

Not only that, but I truly admire the artwork. Of course there are animations and pictures that are made with that 'porn' touch, like explicit sex and kinks pieces. But there are some pieces made with such an artistic touch that I hardly consider them porn, they are literally just art! I think most of you might know this, but I wish other people saw them as art too.

Artists like Koelet3D, Wayward3D, Ecksoh, I love their work. They cheerish womens bodies! It's not submissive (Some might be, since they also like bondage, but you get the point), they draw these characters making them true to themselves. The poses, the looks and faces they make, the scenarios, the lighting, it's almost wholesome. There's love in it, you know?

I like adult content, and I really think it is a way to explore yourself and express your sexuality. But I kinda hate 'soulless' pornography, you know? Of course, I've had my fair share of it, but I don't feel it's cool.

Which is way I appreciate so much when an animation, or picture, has soo much love to it's making. It's not just pornography, you're admiring both the character, because of it's beauty and because of its charisma, and also the love put in that piece by the artist.

Anyways, I don't know if I'm oversharing or even if I made my point clear with all this xD, but I just wanted to say that, and see if you guys feel the same way about it.

To finish this excessively large text, I'll just leave one of my favorite pieces, made by Wayward3D ( go check their work out!) And just look at this, the look, the slightest and silliest corner smile, her scars, the pose she's in... It's just beautiful, isn't it? Almost inviting.

I remember the shame I felt when I was playing my first porn games, looking over my shoulder and praying my parents wouldn't barge into my room xD. But nowadays, more than half of the games I play are adult games, tho I play less and less games over the years. I've always seen them as Internet's little oddities, y know, like the kind of stuff you wouldn't think about first, that grew in its own ecosystem.

I don't really know how to explain it, it's like finding beauty in the strangest of places, that kind of thing. You download the first hentai slop you find, you expect a quickie before going to bed, and before you know it, you're absorbed into a deemply engaging story, with growing characters and meaningful messages, like what the fuck man xD

At first I felt these were just ironic outlets to jack off, but after playing so many of them, I've come to realize some of my favorites are better than most of my current SFW games. The stories, the themes, the artstyles, the kind of stuff you just don't see in SFW games because those devs aren't interested, I guess? But really stick with you throughout the years. It's just sad that those aren't the norm, but I guess that's what makes them so memorable. This is why I have so much respect for devs that try new things and take risks, taht's how you get the gems ppl still talk about years after their release.
