I like real porn games. But it turns out, almost all of them are QSP and HTML ones. The problem with this games is that they try to create an open world. And that's cool, open world gives you freedom. But it's pretty useless to have freedom in a game in wich you must do a very specific thing to make any kind of progress. And it gets even infuriating for me when, in this labyrinth of freedom I find myself in, the game is giving me absolutely no clue of what I have to do in any moment, forcing me to play while I alt+tab a walkthrough because the word 'intuitive' doesn't even exist for the dev(s).
What makes me kind of 'angry' is that this QSP and HTML games that we see being updated every week, usually are the biggest games out there. The games with the most content of this world are developed in an unplayable way. And I understand that being developed with real porn (img, gifs, vids) is what make it so easy for them to have that amount of content. The problem for me is that I need to play them with a walkthrough because you never know at what place (in a universe with 100 different rooms) and what time something is gonna happen, and I need to use cheats or mods to change the stats because the grinding the game is asking me to do would literally take me 10 hours to complete the 100% of the content. All this without mentioning how this games tends to bug themselves, even with or without cheats/mods. Resulting in me deleting a 4-8 GB game because I literally can't unlock the content. I mean, it's really more exciting to go through the folders checking the imgs/gifs/videos than playing the actual game...
I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'd love to spend hours and hours in a real porn well developed game in Ren'Py or even QSP, but with intuitive mechanics and an atmosphere that welcomes the player to find more and more and more. Because, in my opinion, is a waste of time to build a huge game in size in an open world that works as a safe for that same content, and introduces you into a very unsensual adventure in wich you click randomely into buttons to grind ad infinitum and navigate through a world separeted in clickable boxes amounted over themselves wihtout any kind of order.
I think not many games deserve to be supported in patreon, mostly because we live in an ocean of undeveloped and mediocre games, copies and bad attempts of making money. But I think there's some of them out there that are really good and deserve that support. A real porn game of the size of this QSP-HTML ones but well developed, would be the kind of game I would gladly put my money on.
So, not been a developer myself but an usual costumer of their products, I drop the idea (wich I'm sure is not new) out there. In case one good developer reads me and see a profitable effort behind one of this games/projects.
PD: If this thread gets some attention maybe we could do some kind of poll asking how many people would like to see real porn games as the ones I describe here.
