I miss Nopy!

I miss Nopy! There's a string of games that are coming out now or in the next few days that have made me realize how important the lack of download limits Nopy provided was for this site. Any chance we can all start sending them $5 a month to get them up and running again? I'm willing to pay a mothly fee myself if that's what it takes. Don't mean to be overly dramatic but between Nopy going down and the whatever the hell is going on with the Lewd Patcher, it seems like we'll have to start standing together as a community or we'll fall apart as individuals. Curious to read what you think.

I fully agree.

$6000/month in server costs doesn't seem like a lot of money considering the size of the community.

But apparently Nopy was having problems with payment processors as well.

So I think there are two solutions:
1) Crypto
2) Torrents

As an outsider of this community (or at least someone that's here just very casually), and after seeing quite the few thread on here about it: what was Nopy, and why was it so important?

Nopy was a downloading app that was fast, reliable (in that it never tried to add any malware), and had no download limit. It was great because you could download multiple large files without worry.

In regards to games right? I know that Mega and other filesharer have annoying limits, but what about places like itch.io, that allow for 18+ games easily?

I'm not grumpy, I'm just coded that way.

It's not the same thing. Nopy was a hosting site, like Mega, while itch.io is a selling site where you can possibly have the content for free.
