tl;dr: Better than dev's other title, still some grind based pains.

I'm weirdly intrigued by this dev's game. They exist in a weird universe where everyone wants to fuck and no one seems to care too much about it. It all revolves around the gravitational orbit of one woman's giant tits. They all have pretty large design failures, with the dev's prior game being a pretty big clusterfuck.

I Saved The World Today feels a lot like that game but improved. A girl (woman now) learns how to be a slut from Melanie and gradually starts fucking everyone who also start fucking everyone. The game consists of a bunch of events that progress as you become a whore or your relationships change. The world can also get more upset (read: Feminist) or harmonized (read: Woman be sluts), but this only effects a few events.

Initially it feels like there's a ton here, especially for a first release. You'll have a good time navigating the initial events and speculating what comes next. Eventually you'll hit the first problem point: grinding to progress the same events becomes boring. You're not unlocking new events so much as progressing in the old ones. This becomes pretty repetitive, and late game you'll be seeing the same shit you've been seeing the whole time until you get to the new part.

This probably wouldn't be such a struggle if the grind wasn't so slow. Unfortunately your character only gets more corrupted every Sunday, as everyone knows becoming a slut follows a strict schedule. Worse than this is how the world progresses, as it is also a once a week shift, and there are events that only work on both ends of the stability spectrum. I wouldn't suggest playing this game too long without cheating, you'll want to save your time.

Navigation is also a bit of a hassle. Navigating the map can progress time and make you miss events, but sometimes it doesn't. I think navigating out of the house does it, as does moving to the city or the neighborhood. A lot of frustration would be solved if time only progressed in events.

The events themselves are too bad but can be weird and will bug some people. Like the devs other games, the characters in the events take the appearance of the actors in the clips. You best be ready for a wide variety of actresses that represent the protagonist and others. I like it as it means you're not stuck with an actress you don't care for but be ready for this. Also, the event's dialogue is pretty odd. It always seems like the scene starts halfway through a conversation, making it somewhat hard to follow.

This game is really just pretty average when it comes to the cursed genre that is HTML games. I'm impressed by the devs tenacity to keep creating even in the face of negative reviews (that are admittedly justified). All his games have more content than many HTML games stuck in a limbo of development.

I thought the setup was interesting (albeit silly), but sadly this game devolves into a grindy railroad with "click to see next sentence" mechanics.

I played about 15 minutes, the "sandbox" part of the game had yet to be reached - or the current version just has the scaffolding (i.e. locations) without anything that tag would promise. Progress might be partially RNG (is the button for the call there or not?).

The porn chosen is also awful unless you're a very particular kind of American (it's a style question, I guess).

At this current iteration, it's better to wait for maybe 6 months and loop back.
