Ignoring a tag doesn't remove it from latest updates?

I'm attempting to prevent games with the AI CG tag from appearing in the latest updates section, but ignoring the tag entirely doesn't seem to remove the games from the list, only ignoring an individual game's thread seems to work. Am I doing something wrong?

Are you excluding rather than including? Can you show screen of how you are doing it?

I'm trying to save myself from adding it to the excluded tags every time I use the page. I have ignored threads set to hide in the settings, and I've ignored the entire tag, but that doesn't seem to be catching them.

As far as I'm aware, ignored tags does not work.

As to other option, do you have more than 1000 ignored threads? That's the cap.

Ignoring the individual threads is working just fine, so I guess I'll continue ignoring them individually, or excluding the tag each search. Thanks for the help

As far as I know you can exclude the tag and then bookmark the URL and use that instead of having to exclude it each time.

ignoring various types of stuff is a forum-side thing (the site uses xenforo forum engine, and various plugins for it). it does work when you're browsing the forum.

latest updates is a custom-coded page that takes some data from threads to display but otherwise isn't fully integrated into the forum. in its current iteration, it does check thread ignores for hiding individual titles, but for the rest you're supposed to use the filters side panel (saving filters as default isn't implemented yet; use provided workarounds instead).

Well, that explains why so many forums focused on similar interests use near identical layouts. I'm now using the linked userscript, and it's working well, thanks everyone for the help.
