Ignoring tags is now a thing

Is there a tag you absolutely hate? Well, now you can ignore tags! And i'm not talking about excluding them on the Latest Updates page, this is a separate feature.

*Note that at the time of this writing, ignored tags don't hide games in Latest Updates, you still need to exclude them there. Ignored tags affect what you see when browsing https://f95zone.to/forums/games.2/

How to use it:
  1. Find a game with the tag you want to ignore.
  2. Click "ignore thread" in the top right over the first post or in the thread listings.
  3. You get a modal dialog where you can select the tags to ignore for all games.
  4. Choose the tags to ignore and click the button to ignore thread. If there's a different way to ignore tags i'll update this.

You can see and manage which tags you are ignoring in your profile. https://f95zone.to/account/ignored?key=tl_ignore_tag

Just in case you want to peek at what's being ignored, there's an option to "show ignored content" which will temporarily show you ignored threads (both manually ignored and tag ignored).

This won't solve the problem of tag whining but it should help a little. It would help a lot more if it affected the Latest Updates page too (with an option to override it).

That's nice and all but doesn't really help much, unless the sheer mention of a certain kink already makes your dick shrivel up.
I suppose it could work if avoidable X was a separate tag but the bloat would probably be pretty bad.

There are tags that are definitely hard stops for people. The real problem is going to be convincing those people to ignore the tags instead of complaining in the game threads. The "no sexual content" tag is a prime example that could benefit the most if people actually use this feature.

Probably the best change here is the quick way to ignore threads. You no longer need to view the thread to ignore it.

No sexual content and kinetic novel are the only two I'm using in Latest Updates. Everything else would filter out way too many games that I might actually enjoy and it's still very hit and miss. For the longest time I ignored Desert Stalker because it had female protagonist listed, which was clearly a mistake.

So yeah, unless optional or avoidable content is a separate tag I don't see myself using this feature much.

This feature doesn't work for me. I've ignored Kinetic and Censored but
they still show up on the Latest Updates page.

Of course I might be looking at this wrong...I just noticed it yesterday....lol

Hey... Thank you buddy, I appreciate your reply.

Like I mentioned...I hadn't checked into it too much yet. It is a feature that
I've been badly wanting for a long time. Hopefully they'll figure it out for the
Latest Updates page soon. (That page could use a good overhaul anyway.)

I don't think I've seen the page you posted before.... I might start glancing there.
Good Job

Will be really happy when they fix this on the Latest Updates page.
At the moment it's worse than it was before, but I'm sure they'll fix it some day.

Just impressed they finally got around to it after several years.
Glad.

Cheers

This is rather useless without that tag update, but will be great when a tag update (if ever) comes. Some niche tags are optional and have 1-2 scenes, which could purge the games with other great content otherwise. I guess AI Art and Real Porn stuff can be safe to ignore for the most part.
