It recommended uninstalling and redownloading, yet the error still appears. I use 7zip, if that impacts anything. Any idea how to fix this?
I'm new to this- games involving a .rar file always say "nw_elf.dll not found".

When it comes to .dll's, usually you can -nearly- always fix them by downloading the missing .dll. In this particular case try to grab it from here
Extract it in the game folder and try to run it.
