VN - Ren'Py - Imperial Bureaucracy Hero [v0.2.91] [Munitions Mori]

This game has an excellent 40k vibe, it's so well done. The roleplay options are great. It reminds me of the best parts of Rogue Trader. You can do geniune good for people, sometimes in very heartwarming moments. Or choose to be as cruel or indifferent as you please. Keep your eyes upon the Emperor, or never raise your gaze. The characters are all really interesting and the dialogue is on point. The inclusion of the different facets was aces. Reminds me of Disco Elysium. It adds so much color and perspective (as well as actually really helpful explanations). Well done, absolutely. The facets also give the feeling of having companions, in a weird sort of way, but it's all just thoughts. I was very surprised by this game and I've really enjoyed it. Keep it up, Munitions Mori! I look forward to seeing how this great story progresses!

Absolutely fantastic. Love the theme, the writing, the world building – I'd play a full RPG, watch a full series, or even read a book set in this world. The h-scenes in comparison are a little plain, but that's very minor quibble.

This is an excellent game which immerses you into the environment with excellently thematic art, well thought out worldbuilding, and great prose. It also doesn't slack in giving plenty of opportunities to jerk it

Filled with excellent art, superb writing and hella sexy women all wrapped up in a horrifying dystopia.

A visual novel where most choices you are given have no immediate changes on the world outside of some character dialogue or extra scenes. However the seeds for such things are there but it will take a long time for development to reach that stage at its current pace.

Don't let that drive you away though this game is a master class in writing and worldbuilding even without prior 40k knowledge. I have nothing bad to say about this game which is really quite rare for me. I prefer more interactivity in H scenes but this game is not trying to fulfill that and I still enjoyed it immensely. Well worth playing and checking up on.

I want to preface that I know very little Warhammer 40k lore and this game is still an absolute gem. It feels very polished for the around 5-8 hours of content that there is. The 'Disco Elysium'-style traits are well executed, they add just the right amount of flavour into the experience and I enjoyed the similar writing style.

Would play this even without the nsfw parts. One of the best representations for the grim dark vibe.
The story is good, the oppressive, slimy grimdark vibe is here, different routes you can take, allot of content. All around awesome game.

Did I just stumble upon a masterpiece wtf.. Game so good I was skipping the porn scenes to get back to the story. Author, what are you doing on porn sites !!! You are undoubtedly talented. Many published writers don't write like this. For a porn game, the prose this person wrote is nuclear lmao. Comparing this game to some other adult games legit feels like atomic warhead vs coughing baby.

Do us all a favor and write a book or something. I don't know much about Warhammer or Disco Elysium but you could definitely write for Fallen London. You might actually clear some of their writers and they have some elite talent. Top tier shit, thank you for blessing us with this

I always wanted a Disco Elysium sequel so this is probably the best i'll get. I've often pondered which settings make sense for the Disco Elysium mechanics and Warhammer 40k is a perfect fit. Great job with the world building. I couldn't stop reading.

Character designs are fabulous. Sex scenes less so.

Porn is pretty sparse, not difficult to find, but there's a lot of the most important aspect of this game in between them; The story.
And by god does this have a story.
Clearly heavily inspired by 40k, but the author has done SO much work creating alternative names for the basically made up jargin that GW does for 40k, But in French origin. Which also leads me to speak of it's Other clear inspiration, Disco Elysium, which is set in a Very heavily French inspired world.
You have to choose between "Facets", which are basically personality choices that lead to different dialogue and possible outcomes, depending on your choice in Facets, Very similar to your choice in Skills for DE, though significantly stripped down from the 24 skills to 6. 3 Majoris, 3 Minoris. But there are also other Facets you cant choose from that still speak up from time to time.
I am not angry in the slightest about the relatively small amount of porn in a porn game, because there is so much thought put into writing the story and characters. Especially when the author writes characters that are basically just throwaway's, even having dialogue stating you will never see them again. But they had such touching short stories around them that you will remember them regardless.
I only wish it could be closer to what Disco Elysium was like, like if the Facets and other characters were voiced, like in Disco Elysium. I doubt this author has the money to hire the VA of the Skills from DE, or if they would even take a job for a pretty small unknown porn game. And, pardon me for saying, there is a LOT of dialogue of the Skills from DE, that I'm Sure someone could train an AI voice to replicate some of them that might fit the Facets.
This game is a Must play.

Goes way beyond some typical adult game, and doesn't even rely on those tropes. Tremendous worldbuilding, Awe inspiring Art, Magnificent Quality Writing and Just the Aesthetic of the overall experience screams Masterpiece.
The Narrative RPG Progression is Disco Elysium-esque with nuanced moral viewpoints and arguments to be made, and immensely mature thematic elements that pay off in unexpected manners.
Truly a gem, I am immensely cheering for the dev.

Holy Fuck is game...
It essentially embodies the "Hoped for the smut, stayed for the plot and ambience."

It nails down the feeling of being a Imperial in the Imperium, its soo good. And the music too... I never felt the same way that I did when watching Ghost in the Shell and Berserk with Guts theme, yet this game gave me that feeling of contemplation, of the melancholy and tragedy and endurance all at once. Super super amazing.

Now, one thing has to be said. If you are expecting this game to be just a fap or porn, forget it. It does have it, but it's not the focus of the story, it's merely an appetizer. The real joy of this game lies in the MC's interation with the world itself and his jobs, to be immersed in what's like to be in the Imperium, to carry the power in your hands and interpret the situation around you.

Its basically a Slice-of-Life in a game mode, A visual novel that mixes mystery, intrigue and a touch of tragedy.

How have I missed this?

This game takes you through being a bureaucrat, are you really a "hero" in this game, or are you searching for the pinnacle of yourself?

This dark unique atmospheric setting really drags you in, as it "fits" within this type of game and how your bureaucrat can see beyond reality.

I could not really grasp what it takes to truly be a bureaucrat until playing this game, bending peoples will, destroying their upmost sanctity of their mentally.

Have we reached that far down society? This game is something else.

I believe the developer is not creating this game for "sex" scenes of "erotica" but to show you a glimpse of what individuals with "higher" power can really do, and see behind the observers eyes.

I had played this game previously in its early stages, to come back to a finished product beyond my expectations.

If you want a game with plot wanting you to question yourself and how you make decisions.

This game is for you.

Suffice it to say, the Disco Elysium style writing is really surprisingly good, enough that I was invested enough in the story to turn down h-scenes
First time in a while a game I've found here has genuinely impressed and emotionally affected me almost purely on the strength of the prose
Also can't get enough of the melancholy soundtrack

I have arrived to gush about this title. It. Is. So. Good! Best new H game I have played in 2025 by leaps and bounds!

Pilot a pedantic pencil pusher with an encyclopedic memory for rules. Confound lesser minds. Be good...at paperwork. Somehow it is fun

OR

Be a rule bending do-gooder with interpersonal skills who trips out on visions. An atypical pencil pusher in space-hell. Shock your peers with your hippy idealism.

OR

Be a hard-nosed legalist stamping out any trace of lawlessness despite the human and morals costs. Someone who sees it as a necessary evil to prevent his society from falling down in shambles all around him, despite staunchly believing it is just stalling the inevitable collapse of society.

Or.....Or........

+ A great diversity in characterizations for your protagonist.
+ Meaningful choices that have tangible echoes in the society. You can be a horrible prick or someone who changes the lives of the people aroud them for the better.
+ Does a great job of being Grim-Dark while still highlighting the beauty of the human spirit / struggle.
+ The art suits the setting and has a distinct style.
+ The art avoids the typical AI pit-trap of being generic, under curated ect. The prompter did a good job / has a distinct vision.
+The game makes you feel for the struggle of the characters around you.
+ Unique setting.
+ Relatively good progression of LI. But many story-lines need more ink.
+ I LOOOOVED how indulgent the "Fortress Unbarred" trait is.

- As a personal preference- wish the protag was a bit more well endowed. Augmented even!
- Not nearly enough plot with the Cog-watcher! She is so charming!
- The smut scenes could use a few more CGs and maybe 3-4 times of the descriptive time.
- The smut needs a bit more "ju ne sais quoi." Maybe it was the brevity, maybe the lack of build up. But they weren't eroitc enough.

The question that until now, nobody has ever asked- what happens when you cross a porn game with WH40K with Disco Elysium?

Really well written with atmospheric illustrations but not that much smut in it for the one-handed player to enjoy. I can see a fair amount of re-playability in here if you change your initial personality trait choices.

Some truly incredible writing. I wouldn't really recommend it as a "porn" game and if you come looking to get your rocks off you might be disappointed (though some of the sex scenes were hot, they are not numerous and the grim setting might kill your vibe) . However the setting, tone, writing, and general play experience is excellent. Decisions feel meaningful, encounters are interesting, heartily recommend.

An interesting game.
Of course it benefits from the massive lore of the 40k universe, but it is twisted (because copyright) with talent.

The grimdark ambiance of a decaying empire is felt. Story are heartwrenching, moving and very human, despite the tech, the empire and chaos.

The art is obviously the weak link, it's not very enticing nor sexy. The adult content is clearly not the main appeal to play this game.

You re here to enjoy the story, not to look for a quick gonzo.

Well written and decently paced, understands the flaws of the Imperium and the dilemmas of its functionaries whilst not playing into the power game of the Inquisition. Impressive. Erotic content feels more like a bonus than the main focus, but that suits me just fine. I like that it allows a mix of fun, consensual encounters as well as characters that lean more into the exploitive power play of the bureaucrat character.
