Overall, this game is a must-play for anyone who values strong storytelling and immersive gameplay. The developers have done an excellent job, and I look forward to their future work. Five stars!

There are so few stories about the Imperium's nobodies. The art, the writing, the tones, and all of them mesh together so well and make you feel how horrifying the Imperium is. Even as a supposed ray of hope, a man meant to start small to make larger things, you start as a culmination of two ideas that play a part throughout the story. It's such an interesting take on visual novels, that the small choices do matter throughout. As you choose, those thoughts stick with you and it is mindblowing to see a decision you made so long ago come to mind as a piece of dialogue for a future event.

The insight into design and the setting for what is a pornographic product is incredible. Never expected to see this setting explored as such. Obviously a passion project. Looking forward to future content.

This is the first time I have rated a game on this site. I did not know what to expect but a darkly beautiful, oddly hopeful yet melancholic dark lament of the 40k universe was not among them.

The setting sounds much better than it is in the game. It is a dull game with black and white textures, the art is bad - really bad, and scenes are boring.

The dialogues and story line are uninteresting and predictable. This game takes after dysco elysium with those facets and voices, but this is overall rather a bad thing than a good one.

Great writing, plot, art style, main character doesn't have to be an asshole to get most sex scenes. Honestly its like this game was made by an actually highly-functional human being.
My only wish is for more bolter bitches in consensual scenarios

Wow. The author can write. It's a 5/5 for quality of content already, as this VN found the perfect balance between the number of images needed to convey the stage and the text to supplement the imagination and allow the player to draw the best possible image. Just for that alone this game is 5/5 and the dev has more author sense than the 99% of the games here, and as an Uploader that says a lot.
'm not much for for complimenting games, but if you have ever have done anything more than a slight look at 40k, especially stories about Hive cities/Eisenhorn, this will be right up your valley

As a note/request, wanted to say some things
- Some bugs/Typos are still there, but not anything of note really
- If possible, a mod that corrects everything to be *cough cough* 40k naming correct *cough cough* would be great
- Sex scenes are great, but highly unvaried. It just feels business like sometimes, which I guess is what game aims for. But it's more of a cutscene and previous choices don't affect anything/no choices during sex. Women are as vanilla as they come
- This leads to the next point. I guess male characters are tad uninteresting in comparison to women, who can also be expected to be bedded within 5 mins of meeting (Except 2).

I don't know what I was stepping into but I wasn't expecting such ingenus way of dialogue and interesting story. Being a member of the administration has never been more interesting.

Came for the porn, stayed for the setting, amazing art, and great writing

The game is interesting enough and the art is serviceable. It probably does 40k better than 40k itself evading the pitfall of falling into grimderp territory.
The world while grim is still full of people trying to make a living and the dilemmas are well implemented.

Honestly had a lot of fun just being a bureaucrat, but the scenes were pretty solid too. The tone, the writing, and the fact that things are named and expressed in French instead of Latin is unexpectedly solid.

This is first and foremost a very well written VN with very rare typos which also makes it so much more painful I can't bring myself to give it a full 5* but more on that later since it includes spoilers, I much enjoyed reading the descriptions and dialogues in this VN, there are many many dialogues that feel like they reveal more about the characters you're talking to and might change your mind on how to judge or react during further dialogue. The trait system also provides special insight at certain moments helping you make decisions or straight up unlock choices that would otherwise not be there which I liked a lot.
I absolutely adore the fact that you can actually choose to help characters without accepting their sexual advances/favors for short term pleasure and maybe even reap much sweeter rewards in the long run, putting it in a stark contrast to the grim setting.

However some phrases/notions seem to be repeated here and there like remarking on how something is just a simple "human to human interaction" which might hit the first time its delivered but will lose its weight as you encounter it more often I feel like.

I believe that the AI created backgrounds are totally fine and I actually quite like the handmade art that is present in the game, it has a certain "leaving things to the imagination" charm, the best being the portraits with the sole exception being Seamus who looks like he has a very tiny red mouth(its actually a nose ring? lol).

I was very positively surprised on how lightning fast the Developer responded to me after writing the Review and as of v0.2.2 the Story details for the Character were adjusted and I could not be happier about these changes! Amazing Developer!

Incredible vision and writing.

Granted, some folks are mentioning Warhammer so perhaps this borrows more than I think, but to me IBH seems to have crafted a pretty cool world.

Also, yes, the writing itself is similar to Disco Elysium but it doesn't feel "derivative" in any sense. Heck, I thought the writing/world-building was so good I wouldn't be surprised if this was secretly made by one of the original Disco Elysium writers...

Ok, sure, none of the adult content is particularly gratifying, but frankly I ended up not caring pretty quickly. That being said, I do think it's arguably important as an AVN. Where the characters of Disco Elysium might have 'freed' themselves with alcohol or absurdity, I think IBH portrays romance as the last freedom in an oppressive world.

Hopefully this game can fill the large hole where Disco Elysium 2 should've existed

A game that tries too hard to be Disco Elysium is about the most succinct review I could make for this game. Inherits its flaws but not much of its strengths. Leaving you with half assed intersecting monologues that do nothing.

The actual porn aspect of it also ain't there. The art abuses the rough sketch look for a style, which becomes an issue when the "porn" you're looking at is barely discernible. There isn't a vivid enough written description of things to be exciting like it is for text based games.

A game of heavy compromises in every way.

This game really scratches the 40k porno game I never thought I needed. The artstyle is super unique, and while it doesn't always hit it really suits the tone of the setting.

The writing/dialogue is genuinely great. I played with the Empathetic and Razor Wire traits, so I am basing my opinion off of that. I don't know how the traits differ, but the combo that I played with felt very appropriate.

The dev does a fairly decent job at meshing the story and the erotic content. I think the Scribe case was a little bit too porno-esque, but honestly that's fine. It is a porn game after all, and it didn't break my immersion.

I think my only hope is that we do get to see some of these characters recur throughout the game. There are some characters you can build a relationship with during their events, and it would be nice to have some characters get more content/events alongside new characters being added.

Like many at first, I was hesitant about the art style along with it being in an universe similar to War-Hammer 40k as it does not fit my particular taste in fiction. However, following my time with this game. I have to state that this game is a masterpiece in the making.

Firstly, the writing is what sold me on diving deep into this game. Multiple choices impact how the world changes around you. Combining that with being able to set up how your bureaucrat sees reality is a wonderful feeling of immersion. All fo the characters feel real and I always want to engage one in conversation to figure out their point of view and if it opens up new content. The story that is here is early in development but I am very intrigue to see where it goes and what can happen next!

Secondly, the art aces the impression of a massive futuristic city that is overly stretched and can no longer be maintained. The characters also each look unique and their looks can give hints to what they are like. Not to mention the way the backgrounds are drawn with such detail are masterful.

Lastly, the ero content is pleasing to engage with and the scenes are enhanced by the writing and the choices you can make with the available cast. What is here already makes me want to see what else the author will do with the ero content and how it will tie in with the story.

Overall, despite being early in development, this game is a gem which you came to play for the erotic content but will stay more for the story and the choices you make. I wish the developer the best as they push forward!

This is real lightning in a bottle here. With some time to cook this could really be *one of those* games. This may actually be one of the best thematic adaptations of Warhammer I've ever seen. The art style is perfect for it. I wasn't so hot on the Disco Elysium thing it has at first but it grew on me very quickly. I really hope this gets finished, it deserves the be known.

This is hands down one the best games I have play up with Last Sovereign. I don't know I can express my love for this game.
It has Disco Elysium style right, love the voices even the lesser ones, love actually be a bureaucrat, also I the french instead of Latin is transcendent .

It's a 40k game and has the writing and story to back it up. I will say that those two things alone are what make up 95% of the worth of this title.

The art style is ugly and the game sort of being forced into an adult format only hammers home this point. If you remove the porn and stuck this on Steam after some tactical renaming of a few things to avoid GW's ban hammers this game would be much more at home there rather than on F95.

I also kind of think that because this game is so writing heavy that Renpy might not be the best engine because you spend so much time reading and then don't have many options for like a journal or notepad to refer back to what you have done, who you have talked to, gathered facts, etc...

Maybe Unity or something like that where you have more control over the UI might be a better fit to organize everything. Maybe it's possible in Renpy but I have only seen the engine get pushed once in a information heavy game (Lab Rats 2) and it was because the dev was clearly a full time professional programmer.

As a 40k fan the story is easily a 10/10, the porn is good and I really enjoy all of the characters! I have high hopes for this game's future as it's scratched an itch I didn't know I had and even after finishing all the content up just a few minutes ago I already want more!

I consider myself an extreme 40k fan. I've read well over a hundred 40k books. From Gaunt's Ghosts to The Night Lords trilogy to Cain to Watcher of the Throne. If it's considered good a good 40k book, I've read it. If it's considered a bad 40k, I've also probably read it.

This is a DAMN good 40k story. Honestly, someone needs to send this to Games Workshop. Take out the porn. Get a professional artist and make this an official 40k VN.

Now, does this game have flaws? Yeah.

First off. It's not porn. The porn, conceptually could be hot. But the art really isn't. The art functions to tell the story. But it does not function as porn.

I also think the porn in this is mostly not needed. Kind of gets in the way.

So as porn. 1 out of 5.

As a 40k story? 5 out of 5. Will be giving this man money.
