Implied incest

Random thought I was wondering about.

Would Patreon come down on a game that had implied incest, but never implicitly stated it. I.E. rumors of infidelity about MC's dad leading to the neighbors wife having a daughter that may or may not be MC's half sister, but never fully comes out and says that she is.

Edit: Never fear though! The dad would obviously die before the story actually started. Can't have that kind of competition.

I doubt it. They're super cocky about those kind of content. I wouldn't risk it, if I were you.

Hypothetically, if incest is in a game it's because the creator wanted it in and / or because they are aiming in part or as a whole at that market. If it is too vague it won't get the tag on most sites, it won't get most of the audience and might pass on patreon but then is there any point to it being in? If it is too obvious it will get the tag on most sites, will get the audience but will get caught on patreon sooner or later.

I've never personally seen any but I assume there is a "teased incest" lovers group out there so it might fit them?

I still think it could be a pretty good addition to a story that's kind of a small bonus to people who pay attention. Sure, it wouldn't be enough to pull in that crowd, but it could be a decent "Oh hey" moment.

For storytelling purposes that could work, you could also make it like a Sopranos ending?

Why don't you just ask them? They usually respond to emails within 15-20 days at the latest.
So far because, as I said, I don't make games. Though I am curious enough about this to actually ask, just from a story perspective. I've seen similar storylines in main stream non-porn movies, so I figure it shouldn't be too ban hammery.

Edit: Remembered the movie I was thinking about. Lone Star from 1996 (Yes I'm old, deal with it). Murder mystery where the protag finds out at the end of the movie that his love interest is his half sister and they just kind of shrug it off like...I won't tell if you don't.

The problem isn't really patreon but more credit card companies. They don't like being associated with taboo sex in general. So if patreon wants to continue to use their services they have to play by their rules.

If the implied incest is a plot point, presumably, it would be built upon and elaborated in the story. If not, then really, what's the point? Oh there is a rumor that the girl next door is MC father's illegitimate daughter? And this is never brought up again? I don't think so. It would become a plot element, and the resolution would be that it is true or not. If it's true and there was banging involved, well, it's pretty clearly an incest story that will get tagged.

I agree. But this is just a hypothetical of something I was wondering about. There are a million permutations that could help or hinder the whole thing so I just kept it as basic as possible.
