I like the Idea of a Modern Setting, but this is very much in the eye of the beholder. Farm setting can be nice, there are some which are nice. I haven't seen any who are set in like the 50s to 80s. I think it would be a very unique setting. A 60s Household set in an Urban Development. I think, I might steal that for my next Game Once I finish my current one.

Medieval era or industrial revolution era( basically before all of technology) a lot of games have like iphone is necessary part of game, would prefer something more interesting. But there are more important things than era. Incest theme is overused and there is actually no difference between incest and vanilla. I realy think there should be consequences if action, not just like seduce family members and live happily ever after.

I'm probably not alone in feeling that the "taboo" of incest has been ground to dust for me by all the modern slice of life incest VNs out there. It hasn't been the same for me since coming across stuff like Desert Stalker, which has a setting that actually recontextualizes incest as a fairly normal practice in a strictly patriarchal society.

Most games are just terribly written from the point of view of actually justifying the incest beyond "omg, mom has big booba! omg, big son cock!" So I lean toward settings that somewhat redefine it as less taboo.
