Ren'Py - Indecent Desires - The Game [v0.27 Alpha] [Vilelab]

I very rarely give 1 star reviews, i remember giving it to games that was hated by the community in general, well this game is still not as bad as them but still. This time im giving it because:

Story - Seen it thousands of times before
Gameplay - Keeps changing and sandbox mode is just the worst, idk what is the point of doing sandbox with hints open.
Characters - None of them are likeable, not a single bit...
Setting - It could work if above was also working as well.
Writing - Many writings doesnt make any sense.

Just stay away, plenty of better incest-summer games on the site.

Usually I try to give games a chance when I see a plethora of poor reviews, cause a good amount of the time, surprisingly, the game is actually not bad at all and some times the game is great! Those types of games usually have hope of being really great in the future and just need more time in the oven, or the fact that game is incomplete and it just needs more content to flesh out current content.

But, this game.... HOLY FUCK... I wish I could get back the HOURS of time I lost in this game, in the vain hope there would be SOME pay off. YOU WILL FIND NONE HERE! TURN BACK NOW! Unless you plan on waiting for years to get it.

I was baited into this game because of the amazing quality renders, which they are, and the great looking models… But that's all there is... that's essentially it... the dialogue is forgettable, story is interesting but unexplored, and the characters, while good looking, are boring and bland. There is very little content otherwise, and if there was its gated behind specific actions you have to do and the time/day. Even then the payoff is NOT worth it for how much time you have to invest to get there.

This game has been out for 4 YEARS, FOUR! YEARS! This game has the same amount of content a game that's been out for 1 year already, if they are slow! I have grown to hate games that will show you maybe 5 main girls... but ALL the content is on 100 SIDE CHARACTERS or random side events. I honestly think going free roam/sandbox for this game specifically, it can work in others, was a mistake.

I get it Dev's ya want all the things in your game, but you only have so many resources or time! Stop spreading out the content! There is nothing wrong with being focused on a few characters in your game... I wasted so much time... Sorry if it sounds harsh, but the poor reviews are indeed accurate, and I normally don't bother reviewing unless I feel like the game has great potential, and just needs time or if its really good already. But this game is bad enough it got a rant out of me for the hours I can never get back...

Its just straight up not good. None of the characters are likeable in any way and the sex scenes are extremely bland/lackluster. Unfortunately for this game the writing is just super poor and nothing progresses naturally.

Overall this is a very good game. It has a lot of sexy scenes and a lot of content overall. There is a wide variety of kinks and fetishes and has something for everyone. The submissive scenes are great. The renders are amazing and the women are hot.

I played this game the same time as Dreams of Desire and i remember getting confused between the two. i also remember this game being one of the first adult games i played.

The game is getting worse with each update both story wise and gameplay. Sandbox in this game is shit and it becomes confusing to navigate. Instead of putting work on renders , if dev could have put some more work in story telling and gameplay designing ,it would have been a very good one.

I liked the game when it started off. The introduction is talking about family secerets so I asume it was going to turn out telling a story about the MC mother and her twin sister which is Aunt Sarah. May be about his father and why his mother does not meet her sister( Twin sister ).
It turns out nothing of those and the MC get his ass fucked so many times. Where is the story about the secerets?. Is it Kate & Akoi or Sarah corupt dealing with the Uni Admin?.
The game did have protenstial earlier but now ... just forget it waste of time. there are better games you can play.
Lastly to the developer ... should have focused to your original story as per your introduction.

It would be a possible 5 star game if not for the annoying sandbox element. There is little to no instruction on what you're supposed to do after completing events later in the game. So, you have to roam around the house randomly clicking on things until you unlock the next event which is really annoying TBH. I think it would be more interesting if the game focused on making impactful choices rather than the roaming sandbox.

Already more than 3 years in development, nice models and 0 point in game itself. No story progression, no normal sex scenes, seems like he doesn't know what and why he is doing. Game be decent until you have played all it's content then it be pointless waiting for another meaningless update with no content

The game itself has a great feel to it, it does what it does pretty well.
It is a bit of a grind but that's not always a bad thing, but i wish it were more obvious what you need to do next, maybe a task tab or something of the sort.
The characters are well designed, great models as well.
Hopefully he'll add more body types breast types to the game, add a bit more variety.

Good effort but i'm sorry to say I only gave it 3 stars.

The good : Graphics are nicely done no things about that some nice looking models.
Some bits of the story are also quite nice but I think there are a lot of options that can be improved like developping more with the coussins or mother after the drinks to add affection.

The hookers part is fun for a bit but the adds from the last couple of updates were not so good in my opinion.

Main issue with the game in indeed navigation, what to do next when. I've had a game where i don't see any updates anymore and don't find anything new also my day is stuck unless i go run or take a nap in the room or at the beach or go see a hooker.

A rework and involve more things with the actual starting girls would be nice, and add more story/scenes on that part then just to add hookers or a new character.

In any case good luck with the game and I hope they will add it for you.

Exhausting to play this. It's basically impossible to play without a walkthrough. The few scenes I saw were good but not worth the hassle getting there. The game desperately needs a journal saying meet x at y during z time so you know what to do.

- NIGHTMARE knowing what to do and when so you just randomly try and find some and it ends up feeling like porn peekaboo

- Poor ui

- Pain to navigate especially the house

- Grindy and repetitive

- Characters appear but have no content, why are they there then?

- Don't dare skip or take a break if you forget or skip the specific thing your supposed to do...well your not doing it other than trial and error or blind luck. You should never be hopelessly lost because you stopped for a week.

It could be the poster child for how you shouldn't do an open world. It manages to do almost everything wrong.

Sorry, I gave up on this game, it's too grindy for my likings (Endless searching of what I suppose to find to get the story moving along - and woeful point'n'click your way round the house with a horrible rabbit-warren floorplan). I first upload it 3 weeks ago (late March 2021), played it as far as I could until there was mostly nothing to do for most of the day, put the game down and just never had the enthusiasm to pick it up again. 1/5 stars. It was ok while it lasted. It's nothing wow or anything, just a game to get frustratingly lost in.
Mostly boring.
Edit: I don't need to mention what the Pros and Cons are because they've already been spoken of; you'll find them in other 1 and 2 star reviews.

There are interesting and decent scenes, there is quite some content, i know despite the fact that i didnt play it.
Writing is pretty decent, for this type of game susually there are oceans of cringy dialogues, i dont remember a single thing ofthat nature, thats good.

Renders are good, designs are average-ish nothing groundbreaking, but some titles out there try things that add quality, and this didnt take that step.

The sandboxy part is, once again good, and bad. It works with some characters and some paths that offer constant events, bu i think that other paths turn this into a nightmare of event searching. I reached a point where after finishing and event it takes me more and more time to find another one.
I suspecting this is because of the vanilla choices i made. This game didnt mess my underwear, i would say is in 2 of 5 in that aspect.

Overall is a game that leaves me frustrated cause it has good things that i got to enjoy, but the kinks im not pursuing are cutting the game in half.

After 016 i wont be playing again, cause after one year, or more, for what i couolod read in the comments there are no night scenes. I checked the images, i could spot someone fucking mcs ass, well thats it for me. I can take the luck of sexual stuff, but the fact that the sexual stuf the devs work on, has to be that, makes itobvious that the game is not or me.

Love this game. The story is intresting and the scenes are nice, also the renders. The Girls are very beautiful. The updates come frequently. But i hope theres is a new option in the futures updates for a "Hint Button".

This Novel was developed to death. Had a good start how you can read in my first review.

First I thought all the bad ratings come from the horrible bugs and the janky gameplay with all its repetitive scenes, but with the save editor it is at least somewhat playable. Also in order to play most of the scenes u basically have to play on at least two save paths, because content gets pointlessly split up into differents paths that absoluty would not contradict each other (aunt Blackmail/Aiko Blackmail). Last time I played this game at ver 0.07. Now with 0.15 it seems like dev turned this into a complete sissification game. I would never give a bad rating just for that because I would simply refuse to play such a game in the first place and tbh everybody can play whatever he/she/it likes, but this switch from maledom and lesbian femdom options (which I like both a lot) to sissification comes completely abrupt and disjointed. Sure u can also avoid those scenes, but that's like avoiding 1/3 of the game. I now decided to avoid this game altogether.

disjoined story, poor UI, broken logic. No continuity about what the author is expecting the MC to accomplish. If he only wants 1 and done go get hookers not contrived contacts. I was hoping it would get better as version added content but it didn't.

The game starts with some visual novel gameplay and suddenly it becomes a boring sandbox. There are two things I don't understand, the first is seeing users giving 5 stars and saying that the game is great and the second is why the hell did the gameplay turn into a totally empty sandbox? navigation is not one of the best, there could be buttons that would make the player’s time a lot easier, the interactions with the characters are limited, after all, what is the cause of turning the game into a sandbox? I've asked this question twice, because the developer makes a game without a tool for tips or information, because when you're playing you don't have any information on where to go and what you need to do, so how am i going to play this? will I have to keep clicking on the places so that a random event arises and waste hours of my time on it? another big problem in this game is the relationship you have with the characters, I keep asking myself, how am I going to increase the characteristics of the characters if there is no option for that? you need to increase your obedience with X character, ok, how am I going to do this? you can follow a walkthrough... is that serious? will I have to keep up with the walkthrough while I'm playing? it wouldn't be easier for the developer to improve the game's interface and add more information about it, a simple way to play instead of making the player follow a walkthrough. I really tried to play this, I didn't want to get a walkthrough to play and I wasted my time playing this shit.

Updated review: Disappointment is unfortunately the main feeling I had playing this. Can't recommend.
The sandbox that doesn't feel good with the little amount of options given. Storylines that not just bug out but also feel very limited in terms of choices, almost always with connected to some right/wrong kind of twist, where the wrong option is a dead end potentially cutting off the entire rest of a storyline.
Bad design choices all over the place imo, which can't be compensated by the pretty characters there are, unfortunately.

When this game started it had so much promise, an enjoyable VN with interesting characters and 5 star potential. Then suddenly it turns into this open world nightmare.

Without a doubt this is the worst implementation of an open world game I’ve ever seen. Huge empty world with countless possible times of the week and you must find the right place at the right time to trigger the next scene. Making this game impossible to play without a walkthrough.

On top of that, the story is completely gone and forgotten and the main LIs which showed so much promise at the start, have pretty much disappeared (probably quit in protest).

So now every update is just a new meaningless lewd encounter with a random who cares character, which you’ll never be able to find without a walkthrough.
