VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - Inertia [v0.35] [Dob3D]

Great and fun AVN. I hate it when I find an AVN that good abandoned. I just thought to have a look and got surprised. A tale of a young and very horny girl (or not? You can avoid everything lewd) and her family. The FMC model is extremely hot.. Well, I just hope for something similar or that the dev comes back to finish this little masterpiece.

I normally don't write reviews to judge unfinished games but it looks like this one will never get finished so we may as well go with it... Concept is really simple. Daily life of a young girl with some crazy ideas. No great mysterious plot behind, just a carefree life.

PROS:
+ Female MC with killer body of perfect pornstar. Actually there are bunch of other really hot girls and all characters looks good but MC was made to shine compared to rest. You can hate them only if you don't like dolls and models from magazines since there are no person looking normally and common.
+ High quality pictures and animations with many close-ups.
+ Lots of erotic/sexual content with bunch of fetishes.
+ Nice soundtrack in the background.

CONS:
- Abandoned by creator. What we have now is a bit longer demo.
- Not much of a story you could expect. I mean there is a story and it's even enjoyable to follow and you are curious to see what happens but at the same time it's totally obvious that everything happening is just excuse for another erotic encounter (poorly trying to mimic "random accidents" in common daily activities like no one saw where it's going). And yes there is the MC. She is so cute and positive and you have to like her but... Yeah. She is totally like: "I'm just an innocent virgin who is good girl ashamed of showing my private parts and doing dirty stuff. But at the same time I walk half naked practically everywhere I go with flashy buttplug(!) casually sticking out from my ass all day. And of course I totally innocently and cluelessly flash my tits and holes to everyone on every occasion but it's ok since other girls do it too so it's not dirty at all." Well you get the picture it's just typical porn movie plot. We have also choices but each choice is only reduced to see more sexy content / don't see it... Thus making them useless anyway. It might be as well kinetic novel. I mean all off this things is still good quality and very sexy content but it's just nothing what description and game intro suggests.

So is this a good game? I mean skipping the fact that it's very short and unfinished. Depends... If you are looking for complex visual novel with many choices, deep characters and interesting plot... Well it's not for you. Cause what you get here is wild and high quality porn action mainly focused on "girl on girl" or "solo girl" content. Still it has potential to be one of top games here if anyone could actually finish it (but it most likely won't happen).

Inertia was a game that had a lot of potential. The game was a relatively slow burn, kinetic novel that doesn't have a lot of sexual action but was building itself up for more. It had decent renders and animations were included, and the writing was pretty good with few grammatical errors. Dialogue between characters were written in a way that made them believable as they "spoke" to one another. (I especially enjoyed the banter brought forth by the character Marcus.) The game does include fourth wall moments that breaks immersion, and choices does not ultimately matter in this game. Both of which can put off some players. The choices boils down to whether the player wants to see a scene or not, but the overall story will progress in the exact same manner regardless. Thankfully, the strangely named FMC can be renamed as well.

It would've been nice to see more of the game and see how certain plot points that were seeded in the game evolve if development had continued. As it is, the dev seems to have disappeared. If you're curious about the game despite that, then I say give the game at least one run since what's here isn't bad at all. Be safe everyone. Cheers!

This game is really great. Awesome graphics, great models and simple story. There is only one fatal flaw and it is the sign abandoned. It is really pitty because the game had some potential.

Who, in a rationale state of mind, would call their daughter, 'Inertia'? Of course, I renamed her 'Lucy', a name that humanizes her and stops her sounding like some medical condition.
The beginning of the game breaks the fourth wall, which immediately put me off. I don't want an MC in a VN talking to me personally...it completely breaks the immersion.
But having John Cena as her father is some crazy shit! I found it hard to take the story seriously after that.
The MC is so naive and stupidly innocent, which puts her in situations that you never wanted her to be in.
She's pretty, but completely clueless, and for me that is rather off-putting.
It's still a decent game and a lot of people will enjoy the beautiful visuals. It's a definite try before you buy!

There are some good qualities to this game. The main character, her sister and sister's friend are hot. The quality of the renders is great and the animations are good.

I feel like there is not a lot of corruption or choices that can be made for Inertia, though. There's certain acts that she engages in no matter what. There's somethings that can be skipped but also a lot of missed opportunities for where I thought corruption could have progressed better - either at a slower pace or just progressed at all. I am also not a fan of any of Inertia's lover interests with the exception of the sister and sister's friend.
Would have liked to see step bro get some love and maybe the photographer.

Overall it's just meh.

Honestly, I've tried it a couple times and it just fails to sell itself.

There's a lot of times the main character will do things without the player prompting, and your options are honestly kind of limited in a lot of situations.

The game also makes a bit of a misstep, imo, in that you occasionally control the actions of other people, making it seem less like you're in control of the MC at all.

Renders are decent. Good lighting, but, well, the MC's face looks smooshed a bit. Very Uncanny Valley. Also having "Totally not John Cena" was off-putting.

Finally, from a taste perspective, the game is obviously trying to push the lesbian angle, so if you're not into that, a large chunk of the content is going to disappoint.


Not a bad experience, but not really noteworthy either.

story: 2/5 I didn't get too hooked. Maybe because the whole story and only oriented around the physical. I found it rather "boring" but I guess it depends on the drops.

characters: 2/5 There again I didn't hang on to any characters, and physically there is only Jennifer that I find sexy

sex scene: 4/5 Rather good even if we are still very often unsatisfied I find, they are perhaps a little too short

renders: 4/5 The game could be very beautiful, but I really struggle with the physics of the characters

animation: 5/5 Very successful even if we would like more

sound: There is music everywhere, I appreciate it!

gameplay: 3/5 the minimum required for this kind of game

Renders look pretty damn good. There are some choices, but they are more or less yes or no to a scene. Usually female protag games are pretty much on rails fuck fests and you gotta watch the mc and all her friends just be total skanks. Here you can somewhat actually choose, so it earns a star there. But that is kind of countered by how like in almost all female protag games the dudes are creeps and the mc is a bit of an idiot that just ends up in some very tropey scenarios by making stupid choices that the player doesn't have control over. You are pretty much on rails and just choose whether you want to take a scene further or not. You get control over scenes, not scenarios and are forced into things like seeing several characters naked/in risque scenes even if you don't want anything to do with them and proceeding down a path in the plot because the choices don't really branch or change anything, at least so far.

The writing as it is now is kind of all over the place, several attempts at humor and some 4th wall breaking that kind of fall flat. You make choices for other characters which is a bit odd. Some of the typical female protag railroading. There is a forced main LI I'm not at all fond of, the dev does let you kind of use him as a gay best friend but he's one of the people you can't avoid risque scenes with which kind of makes you think you're gonna get forced into furthering the relationship with him as the game goes on. But for now you more or less get control over who she is intimate with, the exceptions of the unavoidable scenes, such as having to see the forced li nude several times.

It's worth it's weight in gold in potential for the great things it does have going for it though. Being able to not just go on a full fledged fuck fest is a nice as is having choices that don't lead either to sex or ending the story, like a lot of female protag games. Some very steamy scenes of all sorts, lesbian, exhibitionist, gloryhole, though not a lot of straight content for people not interested in the forced li or corruption. Female bodies look great, though the faces are a lil sus. Render quality is pretty top notch.

As far as female protag games go, not great, not terrible. I realized halfway through I played it about a year ago or so and completely forgot about it. I'm gonna give it a 2 for now and see how it develops. It could get way better or it could get a lot worse, time will tell. I don't rate games based on potential (so many games on this site with padded ratings based on potential) and frankly the potential is higher that it becomes just another generic female corruption/blackmail game at this point

Wish the dev the best and hope it turns out great. They do seem rather active and open to feedback, hopefully with time this blossoms into being greater than the current gamut of generic female protag games.

The game is quite nice. The renders are excellent. The writing isn't inspired but it's a porn game so that is pretty much par for the course. Choices feel like they are sometimes simply "Do you want to see this scene?" and sometimes focused on how much the MC will embrace her inner slut. I didn't check to see what kind of stat changes they produce or if they are merely fluff.

One issue with the game though. The main characters father is speaking in some scenes but I don't see him in the render. Truely a mystery.

It's a pretty promising game so far. It's not gonna win any awards for writing but it's got a fun, positive vibe that really works for me. The character models start out a little goofy but improve as the game goes on. Scenes are well framed and the scenarios are pretty hot. There's not a huge amount of content yet but I'm digging the direction it seems to be going in.

Inertia is a really good game that I really enjoy. The main reason is the likeable and positive characters and the outstandingly good facial renders. I would even say that there are few VNs in which the facial animations convey as much humour as Inertia does. If that were the only criterion, Inertia would definitely be in the top3 of all time. The only thing that can be criticised a little is that the main story only gets going very slowly, so that I sometimes wonder whether the developer can still manage a convincing arc of suspense at some point.

v0.30b . It gets a star for particularly good renders. The other side is that the storytelling is mediocre, every white guy is portrayed as evil and the main character is not capable of any rational thought.

The other characters are absolutely horrible and you are given basically no free choice in any single thing, not where you go, who you see, whether you think it's a smart time to publicly masturbate or to dress in nothing

Lets start with the good stuff:
Visuals are superb, characters look unique and has different poses and expressions according to situtation.
Characters themselfs are very good, main char is great, best friend is awesome dude, father is John Cena(great guy), some characters act a bit too loose, but its a porn game so its no biggie.
Writing is quite good and scenes are very hot.
Now some bad stuff(maybe not for you tho):
Like a previous reviewer said, choices does not matter much, on my first playthrough I declined all the sex and felt like it matters what a choose, then i replayed and agreed to everything, did not change a thing, just added sex scenes, that it.(if u dont care then its not a downside really).
Another thing i dislike is the fact that main char somtimes break the fourth wall for no fucking reason, its like if u are reading a book and a hero ask your opinion out of the blue, and the next minute its not even acnowledged by her, like it never happened, i dont do self inserts, not into hero/heroine, and not as some fucking voyer, this game forces it on you, like u are spying on her all the time or something, takes me out of the game to be honest, at some point u can even ask her to pose for u, like wtf.
If the game wasnt that good i would give it 3 stars just for that voyer/self insert bullshit, but its good otherwise, if u dont care about those 2 bad points its 5/5 game, enjoy.

Very good game i'm just waiting for the next update. I would like more gloryhole scenes, because the one already inside the game was quite good. Hope that the game will be completed soon. For now it wasn't very complete the story and i hope this game will not be abandoned like others, because is very good

So a lot to love. Looks great and although the writing doesn't always make sense, the characters seem like people you'd enjoy spending time with. Scenes are sexy.
Sadly the choices have zero consequence now, but I hope the choices will have impact on the story. I am hoping for a good girl gone bad scenario where every choice matters. Will check out in the future and if it gets interesting I will definitely support the maker.

Great start to a game.

Really nice characters, with great renders, although boobs might be unrealistically big.

I look forward to seeing future characters, the twins for example could be good, and others.

Really stunning models and such a cute storyline! The characters have such wonderful personalities and it's getting more sexy as the updates keep on coming. Not only are the models amazing, the animations just blew me away! They are so wonderfully done. I have played through this so many times, just to see all the different choices; which seem to be leading to lots of lovely lewd content.
Not only has the story really started to take off with this release, Dob has kept looking back and improving the original release with new content and jokes, adding more renders and expanding on the story so far.

I thought that the humour and the naive nature of the main character just makes her that much more adorable. The interaction with the other characters is fun to see, as she discovers (with your help) her true nature. Some delicious lewd content that leads me to really look forward to future updates.

Putting choices on one moment and forcing events on others is frustrating, aside from the fact that some situations sound ridiculous. From what I've seen Inertia must have some mental problem or she grew up in a bubble far from society.

The supposed photographer calls in the middle of the night asking for pictures, she sends some in lingerie and when he asks for a topless photo she gets annoyed, but she still goes to meet him because reasons.
So the guy blackmails her and threatens to show her photos to her family if she doesn't make a video, and then what? he would threaten to show the video to her family if she doesn't have sex or something? that kind of blackmail is pretty stupid.
The 'boss' shows up and apologizes and she forgets everything that happened and agrees to take pictures in an even more provocative outfit, just because the boss is nice?

Honestly, these 'choices' are a joke, it's easier to make a slideshow with some dialogue that will be more interesting.
p.s.: I won't even comment about her brother, why the fuck she doesn't tell her dad and fuck it, or is it because of her mom's secret where players will only know after 500 updates.
