Ren'Py - Influencing [v0.1.17.8] [Golden Crow]

I'm quite on the edge about this game.

I like the simulation aspect.
The game creates a small town with quite a lot of unique npc to interact with.
It has lewd stuff, but also the basic part of managing your income, time and basic needs.

Sadly, it felt boring quite fast.

Kinda like, if there's just a little spice missing to the dish.

I may redo my review some time later, but for today, it's not worth more then three stars.
Honestly, there just "something small" missing... I just can't put my finger on it.

Easily the best game of this genre you've ever played once you have spent 2 hours setting up the local LLM . I am looking forward to seeing better graphics, more body customization, more clothings as well as an official storyline

The AI elevates this game in profound ways. Using OObabooga and the correct LLM this game morphs from an ok game to spectacular. Well done! I'm hoping there is much more to come from this project. Thank you thank you thank you

(that's some long-ass version naming)

It's a type of sandbox game, that gives you a ton of tools and says "go, have fun."
Because of that there is pretty much no higher purpose imposed by the dev like a story.
You are free to do whatever you want. It can be flirting with your boss, spying on some randoms having sex in toilet, or cheating on your girlfriend in her own apartment.
The thing is, outside of just hitting on NPC or working as college teacher there's nothing really to do here. That's still a lot, since there many ways you can customize NPC like their behavior and kinks, but there's only so much NPC you can flirt with before it becomes boring.
The customizability here is like double edged sword. It comes with animations and H-scenes being the definition of basic, on the other side you can basically tailor the whole city to your preferences. The graphic is what kept me away from this title until now, but since I'm a fan of simulator genre, sooner or later I had to give it a shot.

Overall I'm not complaining, despite it's flaws I found some enjoyment here. Maybe I'll go back here in the far future to check what's changed, but seeing how the dev picked up AI chatting, I have a bad feeling about this.

C-Could it be? Have we finally stumbled upon the hypothesized synthesis of LLM AI models built from datamined erotic neckbeard roleplay chats and coomer life simulator games made by developers who have been doing the programming equivalent of banging rocks together on Twine and Ren'Py?

I'm not sure. But the recent AI update for this game has made me start to believe. What we have here is a life sim game that generates random characters that you can talk to by connecting a LLM chatbot API that keeps several paragraphs of context in its history for each character. Crucially, your chats with the AI can affect in game events. It's not comprehensive, but your responses in the AI chatbox can change NPCs' opinions of you and even take actions on some of them that lead to you changing locations and start sex scenes. This is a big breakthrough in my opinion.

This is big folks. While it's not perfect, the current implementation offers a massive amount of replayability thanks to the AI text generator doing a lot of the writing work that the developer would normally be saddled with. This game at least partly solves the issues that people would have with both roleplay chatbots not being able to transition between scenes in a consistent manner as well as the issue in life sims where players would run out of content quickly because the NPCs only have a pre-determined amount of responses.

Like I mentioned before, there are issues. The LLM sometimes can't keep stories straight and there's varying delays as the LLM generates responses. The art is not exactly my cup of tea. I actually like western artstyles but the art here is lacking, especially when you're just exploring the game world where the flat characters just stare at you like NPCs in a South Park flash fan game from before 2010. The animations aren't bad but they leave a lot to be desired.

But the game works, mostly. And even if this game happens to not improve as much as it could, it stands as a proof of concept that this idea can be implemented in other life simulators. And that's a great sign for the playerbase of life sim games, both h and non-h, since the genre as a whole has been wracked with disappointment from failed and stalled projects.

I must say, I love where this game is going. Since pregnancy and AI was added, it took this game to an uncharted territory. I love how NPCs remember what they did with my character and the flavoured text generated by the AI is very interesting to read. Too bad there's no way of properly parsing the text and a scroll bar is very much needed to read all the text. Also, it would be amazing if the free AI chat would tie into game actions (maybe create new actions that way), it would bring this game to the next level.

Game version 1.16.3

Influencing is a deep sandbox game with a lot of relationship mechanics as well as game mechanics. Jobs outside of teacher are not really fleshed out, but that's not you're here for anyway, I'd imagine.

Character customization is a big plus. You can tweak a lot of physical and mental (character likes/dislikes, areas of interest, relationship factors) variables and create multiple characters in your starting household. Initial world generation is also highly customizable, and a quick redo button if the results aren't to your liking.

I like the slow build of relationships and the uncovering of information regarding potential conquests. Character art has gotten better over time and the number of outfits and hairstyles has increased, which is nice. I'd like to see some more positions available with trans female characters in particular, but many sexual positions have animations.

I'm really looking forward to the AI update which will allow for more dynamic conversations that work within the existing framework where conversation topics affect relationship stats. I can see this becoming a huge time sink for me and I fear I may not need other porn games after it is released. But time will tell!

Honestly, I know this more a sim game than a strictly cuck game, but it has some of the best cucking mechanics I've seen on this site. NPCs (optionally) have full autonomy to do whatever they want, and they all have their own personalities.

And if they DO decide to cheat, if you catch them in the act, you generally have options like busting in on them or peeking through the door to watch (which is incredibly hot and a super-cucky thing to do).

Honestly I love sandbox/life-sim games, but the NTR aspect really pleasantly surprised me.

The graphics aren't great, some of the random-gen NPCs are silly (e.g. black dude with long, platinum blonde Fabio hair), and the gameplay is fairly basic. Also the English could use some polishing.

BUT... this is almost all I've been jerking to lately. 5 stars.

Good game, I was a little put off by the graphics, but the gameplay, openworld, and management is fun, and if you don't use the cheats it's got some challenges. I hope the author continues to develop out the domination scenes, the more the better :-D

I will add, that I'd like to see blowjob in the interaction area with hug,kiss, etc. It's foreplay, and maybe the NPC is not ready to go all the way.

This is pretty good for a Renpy engine game! It's basically a life simulator game based mostly around sex. It's in the earlyish stages, so there's not too much to do besides to screw, but it shows a lot of promise.

Also if anyone is into these types of games, I highly recommend the wicked whims mod for the sims 4.

I played on 1.16.2.
Simply almost perfect. There are still many points to improve.

The most negative and notable point is the art during sex. However, apparently the dev is making an update based on this and it will be the next update of the game. (1.17)

The game already has a good foundational concept and great use of the renpy engine for a sandbox type game (normally used for visual novels).

Currently has a bit of a repetitive nature and blandish art style but the developer has said that these are mainly placeholders.

Concept is great, reminded me a lot of Artificial Academy 2 on a much larger scale.

The game is just very lacking when you go beneath the surface. Every interaction feels like the same thing despite there being up to 300 NPCs and as a result they barely feel like characters in any way, instead serving more as different looking models to spam the same things on to seduce for the same sex animations (most of which don't even have visuals).

A good base but not enough depth to seriously enjoy for more than a couple of hours. Needs a lot of work.

Really good game, especially given the engine limitations. It's basically Renpy Artificial Academy that you can run on your phone; it's rare to see a sandbox game where NPCs actually go around doing their own thing.

Game with a lot of potential, very simple and fun. Great for people who love non linear games, there is no story you do what you want. I can't wait for new updates and features. I always wanted game with good character creation and this is good enough.

My go-to game to get me going. It's fairly simple but there are a lot of implications regarding the risque situations and getting caught. I really hope this keeps going on, would like to see some gloryhole action as well and a couple of more options for the male on male acts.

this game has so much potential, but the concept is very interesting, love the sandbox that it provides, a lot of freedom to play with many combinations and generations, i absolutely love it, can't wait for more content

A really good game that shows a lot of potential for the future.
The character creation is quite complete with a lot of details to adjust to your taste, you can even make several characters and select relationships between them (married, parents (be aware that incest is not available), sex friends, etc...).
The map is pretty big, with enough location to do different things, either shopping, sport, or even working. A few of these are still in development though, but most the vast majority is already working.
The influencing part works very well even though it is a bit repetitive but it's clearly better than some other games I've played (and if you lose patience, there is a cheat menu available to change your character or PNJs stats)
For the sex part, the animations are very good and contain sound effects (moans, cumming), and there is already a few of them (perhaps 25-30 for the whole game), more are planned in the future. Even with this amount of animations they are quite replayable as they take account of a potential PNJ watching you and integrate them in the talking between animations.
To be frank, I was quite sceptical in the beginning but this game shows a lot of qualities and its future looks bright. I recommend you all to give it at least a try.

For 3 years of development contents are too low and it not good for 3 years old game. If developer will speeding up about producting contents I can give 5 star for supporting. There is unique events or content for now. There is not many things u can do in game. Only one job, not many places and not many events u can encounter.

Edit: Developer's giving promise he can't do and break in every chance. Release dates always push forward, keep giving excuses and somehow it magically happens before the big promises. Nope, hard pass. Only u can find is disappointment

Best procedurally generated sandbox game out there. Still has a long ways to go, but shows a lot of potential. If you were disappointed by LifePlay, but still like it's concept, give this one a try. Hopefully the dev doesn't abandon it.
