Hello, since I'm new on downloadable games, I wanted to know why in some games the CG are downloaded separately?

They aren't, well at least not the way they can seem to be.
When there's a link to downloadable CGs, it's meant to be read as : "I past some of my time to extract the CG from the game, and if all you want is to fap to images out of context, then download this instead of the full game". But the game still come with the full CG and you don't need to download them separately.

Also, if you have the game already (but the image being archived in .rpa format) and don't want to download another file I use something called rpaextract.
