here's my 2 cents on the matter , as everyone said Makin game and completing it are very different matters , anyone can start game but few can finish one , as someone mentioned before its the matter of motivation vs discipline , many of my fav games that I play just recently got abandoned sadly , and plus the some dev really has to deal with personal matters as we all know life is bitch and unexpected , for Ai and its bad because you know its not made by human I disagree really there are AI games around here and they are very very good and the art is very good too , I personally believe that with the Help of Ai in the future , everyone will be able to make his game as tools will be available and AI will help with everything , ( if we reach AGI it may be able to make game by its own lol) and maybe less abandonment since it will take much less time to develop games in the future and dev won't be burned out anymore which will encourage them to experiment
