Insomnia, also known as sleeplessness, is a sleep disorder where people have trouble sleeping. They may have difficulty falling asleep, or staying asleep for as long as desired.
Last year I started started suffering from heavy bouts of insomnia. Instead of tossing in bed for hours I decided to use that semi-lucid time to work on new things: writing, programming, and art... I tried writing an adult visual novel/short story. I freely admit, my first effort was amateurish, contrived, and a bit crap. But... it gives me something to do during sleepless episodes... so, unbidden, I will continue.
IRL I develop in Python; my projects are focused on Ren'Py and PyGame development.
I leverage Stable Diffusion AI for the game art, which can be a controversial subject -I'm as big a critic of AI slop as anyone else. However, AI art is an emerging technology and it interests me. I am trying to develop a consistent and unique style to the generated art and am always interested in discussing other AI image generation techniques and where the technology is going.
My first "work" (more of a sketch) is Workin' Out, a short AVN (Kinetic Novel without user interaction) I used to learn Ren'Py and SD:

I am currently working on developing Sucker Punch, which is a more complete AVN. User interactions drive the story and there are (admittedly, semi-lame) minigames that are part of the story experience... the prologue is available on itch.io, but I'm planning on releasing the first proper chapter (which includes the prologue) "soon".
