Instances of Media's Idiotic Reporting

Was discussing this in the Renpy official discord server and decided to bring it here. You guys know any instances of media's bad reports about games or anime?
I have a few:

• Small Axe Murderer(Blumenau, SC, Brazil): A guy on his 30s/40s killed six school kids using an axe. Media blamed it on hate speech. A interesting fact is that the guy was on his 5th parole for murder.
• Young couple runs away, Globo blames anime: Oh, this is classic. A weekly programme named Fantástico showed the story of a young couple who ran away. Globo, the main media in Brazil, blamed the anime they watched(it was a romance anime). This story was the theme of a philosophy homework I did for school back then(right in the next day[fantastico was on sunday].

Man, I still remember the second one. Took the opportunity to scowl at that shit media channel.
