Just something I was wondering about. Most fetishes, whether you are into them or not, are somewhat universal around the globe. I mean most of the fetishes you see in let's say Russia you also see here in the U.S. and other places. The one fetish though that I actually like, but seems somewhat exclusive is tentacle fetish. Almost everything I find that references tentacle fetishes are Japanese. Not that there's anything wrong with it, I just don't know of any other fetishes that are defined by a culture like that. Any thoughts of others?

There are political reasons for the tentacle porn in Japan, having to do with censorship as a result of occupation from World War II. If you do a google search for it you'll find some articles.

Popular in France for some reason... but strangely more with non-Muslims.
BBC is starting to gain traction in Japan, though it's fairly recent.
I also know that bestiality used to be much more popular in Germany than in the rest of the world but by now the rest of the world seems to have caught up. True cultural exchange, that!
I've come across some "very" interesting stuff during my research. I think interracial being considered a fetish is primarily a US thing. Doesn't mean other people don't find members of different ethnicities attractive, but I think outside the US few would call it a fetish.
