I agree with this. I was fully expecting not to be able to go to the BBQ if we aren't on any sort of Alexis or Layla route. Nyx might have us get a last second invite at school but that would surprise me.There is precedent for skipping some larger/major events depending on the path you take. You only get the invite if you are at the Monroe-Allegra table, thus the path with Lexi or Layla. Enzo doesn't say that it's a huge public event, to me I read it more of a BBQ they are hosting at their house for a few people. But I could be entirely wrong.
With the Iris, Erynn, and Lexi beach trip. You only get invited if you are on Lexi's route. If you are on Erynn's path you only get to hear about it from after the event as it was supposed to be a girls event. There's backstory information there, and you get to miss out on other things, such as the dirty dancing recreation even if you said you'd do it to Mel.
Then there is also Layla's hot tub party, that you only get invited to if you are on Layla's path. The one with Sienna, Sienna's boyfriend, and Elena. If you are not on Layla's path, you don't get to go, as she said it's a girls event. If you are on Lexi's, you also hear about it and she even says that Layla said it's a girls hot tub party.
So I wouldn't be surprised if some events continue to not include MC. Nyx will have to create a reason why MC can attend, likely more than one depending on what path you are taking. It's not likely a public event. Same with Lexi's costume party, I suspect it'll be a small party and you may only get to go if you are on her path.

haha I actually made a save and said im just friends with Erynn to see if she actually goes goes out with them lol. But since she didn't say anything on our return don't think she did lol.
yeah I think BBQ might be one event the MC should kind of be forced to go to because of his father being there. Unless Nyx just gonna make another event to talk to him so it won't matter if we are there or not.

Random thoughts and nitpicks that occurred to me:
a) I get not hearing a whole word but missing a letter at the end of the word? Maybe you wouldn't hear, friend, but you should've heard the s in Father's.
b)This misunderstanding set off a whole set of jokes about stepbrother, but shouldn't it have just been brother
c) I hope Ariana and Enzo know about Erryn's father so they can say something like, "O yeah, you're Melissa's daughter."
d) Being what happened to her in the past, shouldn't Val have been freaking the fuck out at Zack holding her in the air trying to steal a smooch?
e) I wonder if Zane did what some people do when trying to get into a girl's pants: mimicking them. "OMG, Erryn, you want to be a teacher? me too!"
f) The Monroe parents are laid-back. Neither daughter was quiet, yet Enzo didn't trip at all when his daughters got smashed in his house.
g) MC's an idiot if he's playing the scumbag why the hell would he be taking his dates to the beach where everybody goes.

There were 3 or so ways the MC gave the Iris backstory depending on your route so I could see Nyx planning for something like that again. Still, if I get a BBQ invite as a friend, cool.

And Darryl... who is just a bit of an asshole(he truly is the least bad).

Adriana knew MC when she called him Emily's son when told about MC knowing who his father was. Prior knowledge of said person is not that big of a deal when making that statement

d) She shuts down on him and looks away right? I think she makes eye contact with Gabi. Maybe she's trying not to cause a scene unlike later on in the story.
f) I was confused about this too. Adriana lurks on Layla all the time when the MC is with her but somehow gave them a big enough window to fuck without hearing anything or going to check?

Alexis even says Enzo likes Erynn, i assume Adriana too, Erynn is a former student of her school(and soon to be teacher).
Yeah fucking in someone else's house in the middle of the afternoon while the entire family is home... a bit weird.
At least it's a big house... the bedrooms are on the second floor, people hangout on the first floor.
Still... Adriana knows MC-Layla are sexually active dating back to a few days ago... i guess now it's "open season", and they won't be putting any barriers.
Even dating back to the first time we were with Layla in the hottub, Adriana wasn't opposed to them having sex, she just wanted Layla to wear a condom(which they haven't done) and not get pregnant.
With Alexis it's the same but more, Enzo says she isn't as good at sneaking people unnoticed as she thinks she is... they've known for a while.
