Well, my first time play it was very unpleasant for me too. I have to go back and forth just to solve the puzzle in third floor and got nothing. But after i saw the puzzle guide included in my Zip files of the game, i was able to find and memorize the answer of the key puzzle. So yeah that's how i complete the game and speedrun it.
