Invalid character error "»", (reposted in the correct forum this time, hopefully)

I have installed the game "Honoo no super oppai Ero Appli Gakuen Bishoujo" and the moment I want to run the game it gives an invalid character error of this character: »
(see picture down below for the details of the details I have been given)

I have no idea what to do here or if this even the right thread, (this is only my second time posting, I'm a lurker hoping somebody else has solved the problem, sorry)

But if anyone out there can help me with this problem that will be really appreciated, because after a fruitless venture on the internet I'm at a loss.

If your not try running the game (and maybe installing if that doesn't work) with Japanese locale. Either by actually switching it or by using

, LE usually works but doesn't always. Also install but don't use the Windows Japanese language pack. That's usually the cause of odd errors with Japanese games, otherwise don't know.
