It's a vague memory but shouldn't be too old:

I remember settings in an office, a night club and a beach

not sure if it was multiple protagonist or just the guy with a new female partner
not sure if you are the boss or both work for one sleezy guy who is a threat or if the sleeze is just inserting himself into life like blackmailer or smthn

most likely renpy with decent looking art

hmm.. neither looks right. I think it simple beach visit, more like it was part of the investigation in the evening, you go and interview the bar tender who maybe tries to hit on the girl? Night club also investigation I think, only there maybe there girls working there to interview/hookup with?

I dont kno.. maybe stuff I've watched and played are bleeding into each other and I'm just confused. Shame, I remember it was fun.
