Hellow fellow pellows,

so I had this Idea for an RPG ero-game in my mind for some time now;

Theme: Reverse Pokemon, Pokemon use Human Trainers to battle.

Genre: RPG, Fighting M vs. F, Maledom/Femdom with all kinds of kinky Sex/BDSM content, no futa, no gay, no strapons (nothing goes in a mans ass!), maybe some white erotic/doctor games with Nurse Joy. More "specific" fetishes would be optional/skipable, like in Towns that you can simply bypass if you want.

Gameplay: as Pikachu you get your first male Human from Professor Muk, which you then use in battle against other Pokemons female Trainers from the series. (all 18+ ofc)
Depending on how the fight goes you'll get either maledom (e.G. cockslaps to the face, groping) or femdom (ballbusting, facesitting, and all the other stuff) scenes (depending on the attack moves) with sex or domination finishing scenes.
Your goal is to win Arena Badges and so on, you know the story. So there should be really alot of different girls to fight.

My skills:
have:
-game modding, years of experience with different Titles such as AoE2, WC3, LF2, LH, etc.
-some experience with RPG Maker XP
-project management

can get:
-any software-related skill, like for 3D animations

do not have:
-art skills, I can't draw, altho I want to improove on that in the future, but that may take some years

My ressources:
have:
-time
-money
-determination / not afraid to ask others for help and never turning down advice easily
-think tank / creativity

can get:
-any software/programm needed

do not have (yet):
-pokemon and trainer models/sprites
-basically any graphics (lots of different girls = lots of graphics and animations needed)

Procedure:
getting an RPG maker and either

1) learn how to do 3D animation with DAZ ->
if I could import the 3D models from certain official Pokemon Editions like USUM and/or S/S and scale them up, and give them new animations that would be great

or

2) hire a doujin artist (or multiple artists) to draw heck of a lot of sprites and game graphics ->
so I can get atleast some 2D animations like in Tower of Trample or games like that, would be less work for me but turn the fighting system into a 2D game

3) getting the base game done. (includes testing and bugfixing)

4) a regular monthly update with atleast 1 new girl / maybe POV scene unlocks for every girl for Patreons (don't worry, I'm not a Koda)
___________________________________________________________________________________________________

Now my open questions are:
1) which RPG Maker version do I use? (buy)
XP may be to old, there are also MV and VX to consider.

2) see "Procedure" - do I try to 3D animate with a software or do I use anime/manga style CGs by hiring one or more artists to do the drawing for me?

3) Do you know people who could help realize the creation of this game?
Any help is welcome.

Thank you for your time and have a good day. :)

1. VX ACE is a good platform and MV is newer. MV has a few more functions (like mouse option), but somehow the best RPGs i've played were all made with VX ACE. Consider the differences betwen the two and pick what inspires you most (if you pick ACE please make sure to include the RTP assets into your future game to avoid making people install them, as those assets are required with ACE, but not with MV).

2. 2D hentai style is always more welcome than 3D, because only about 60% of games with 3D pictures have decent art. If you decide to go 3D then look up for the better rated renpy games to get some good examples of models and expressions. 2D on the other hand is more "universal" and hard to go wrong with (take a look at the style in "ruins of luxoria", nothing special and pretty cheaply made images, but with great story, characters and events they do their "job" pretty well). Only downside of 2D is the cost: a good game has many CGs with many variations on them, and that could get expensive to make (in fact luxoria chose to go for quantity over quality and sill nailed it). Also that kind of style (modular) gives you freedom for more events and maybe even combat H.

3. I know nobody, try to look here on the site (i saw a few people who can use daz) or find a style that inspires you by looking at completed games and ask the developer for contacts.

PS futa/strapon doesn't automatically mean futa on male: content could be futa on female and futa on futa.

Quality 2D art is great, but 2D art like that used in luxoria is worse than nothing IMO. So if even that kind of thing is expensive, there doesn't seem to be much of a choice unless you have a lot of cash laying around. Or you manage to convince an artist to work for a % of sales instead of upfront payment.

As mentioned RPG Maker MV is the newest version, so if you need help with the code or such you are more likely to get answers on forums for it, also more likely to have plugins you can use that are up to date. As long as you know coding, you can make it do what you want, so no real difference other than out of the box compatibility, like how the save files work, or window size, etc.

For Pokémon stuff, there are tons of sites with sprite and other types of rips if you need to use them.

Good 2D art is better than Good 3D art, just because you can easily control how a scene looks and incorporate things/positions that don't have existing models. It is also easier to get the specific look you want and have it make aesthetic sense and cohesion.

However if you want to do your own thing, then learning Daz will work too. I would say try to narrow down your aesthetic first. Pokémon being a cartoony thing and then having models who look life like would feel off. So remember to try and make the game as a whole make artistic sense.

I don't know anyone, but there is a portion of these forums specifically to find others who might help.

Well, the only update is that I'm slowly getting into drawing, which takes lots of practice to learn, so I propably could draw the scenes I want myself once I've aquired enough skill. (expect some years :/ )

Also dabbled a bit into Daz3d and SFM and got some animation experience, yet I lack rigged models of the pokemon games that are actually compatible with either of the programs.

The RPG maker stuff seems the simplest of all things right now, snagged XP from a Steam sale for cheap, once I've aquired either the 2D graphics or 3D animations I can go for the more expenisve ones.

Basically I have thousands of ideas for this game, just need the ressources to make it happen.

Winning sexual favors instead of pokemoney by winning pokemon trainer battles is hardly a unique concept even if, perhaps especially if the MC is male. Period.
I would ask you not to post if you don't know what the topic is about.
Please make sure you read and understand the forum rules.

If you have the rigged models and the problem is just the compatibility, you can try animating on blender.

Hello, here's a small status update;

since it is very hard for me to get the 3d models with the right file type, the animation idea is on hold and the drawn picture idea is prevalent. I've had some struggles with all kinds of different files not beeing able to be imported into daz3d or sfm, and compiling is to complicated for me, I'm not someone who studied that kind of stuff.

Changes so far:
+ got myself a (cheap) digital drawing pad, practicing drawing with that
+ got RPG maker MV aswell as RPG maker VX Ace and RPG maker XP for 20 bucks in a steam sale
+ improoved my drawing skills, sometimes I'm tracing from real porn and then adjust the character by hand

o not having a screen to draw on is like drawing blind, so I'm more like scanning what I draw with pencils or tracing it by putting the handdrawn picture directly on the drawing pad. However, that is still not optimal.

- less money, the continuous Corona-lockdowns were harsh on my bank account, so expensive hiring is out of the question

Plans for the future:
*getting skills with the RPG makers
*improving my free-handed drawing
*maybe investing into a drawing screen pad where you can actually see what you draw on the pad itself (however I want to improove my drawing skills first before getting high-level tools like that)
