Is it possible to earn an average of 800-1000 dollars a month from adult visual novels?

First of all, my main goal is not money. I just thought about what I could get out of doing something like this. Of course, there is a difference between playing and making. In a way, it's not that different from designing a game. Especially creating a visual space, I think this is the part that will challenge me the most. But the reason I'm confused is that I don't know whether I should pursue a career as a lawyer, judge, prosecutor in my country or whether I should feed my script with sexual instincts. When I make a visual novel game, I will have a job. The work I will do is enough to make a living, but I don't know which one to go for. Actually, I'm already thinking of doing this job in my spare time, so it's like an additional income. But I wanted to get information about how much I can earn from this job. Thank you for sharing your information with me. But the thing is, I've seen a lot of games like Milf City, Bein a dik, etc. So I think these games could be in the upper echelons like them. Of course, these kinds of games are a bit about marketing, luck and favorability. I wish there were sponsors or something; it would be funny. I mean, even if I make a game, I guess I have to live and see if it becomes popular or not. Thank you again.
So your question is... if you should just casually peruse a career as a lawyer, judge, or prosecutor... or instead, just opt to earn 1000$ a month making porn games since that's a thing that people can just do?

Bro, I don't know your background, but you seem very optimistic about life.

Not only that decision, but it's a lawyer, prosecutor, or judge vs something literally illegal to do in his country. :ROFLMAO:

There should be some happy middle ground that's maybe not a full on lawyer if he doesn't like that but also not full on illegal.

Maybe make, I don't know, non-porn visual novels or something and see how that goes with Patreon. Maybe it can be about a lawyer struggling to figure out a VPN to look at porn while prosecuting a guy who made a porn video game in the style of Ace Attorney. :ROFLMAO:

I'd play that LMAO!

Sounds like OP is just a bit young and is trying to figure out what they can do with their life, we've all been there (Hell, I still think about changing careers every other day lol)

Assuming you have talent, It's possible, if you commit.

If you have another job, your game will be the only thing you'll do after work. No hanging out with friends, no watching Netflix of playing Video games, your game must be the only thing that matters.

If you don't have another job, the game is your new job. But not one you can slack at, one you are 100% committed to.

If you are able to commit to your game and have some talent, the numbers you specified are achievable IMHO. Good luck!

I am ready to take risks; I am not a very social person in my personal life. But first, when I start my own regular business, I want to improve my English a bit more, learn how to draw visual locations and characters, learn how to light them well, and then publish it with a good script and character development. Thank you for your comment; it was inspiring for me.

You could maybe get there in a few years, but honestly, you'd get tired of it. Even Icstor got tired of snorting coke off hookers every weekend and started slacking just a few years in.

More seriously and to add another angle to what others said, a lot of the big names haven't only been at it for years, many of those got in too when there was less supply in the scene. I wouldn't been on repeating that, a lot has changed on a lot of other sites too. So yeah, stick with your law career.

Patreon may be a bit more forgiving on returns than SubscribeStar, but of course it has stricter enforcement and certain content needs a mod or it's out.

Eh, both options could prolly benefit from the OP having a justice boner? Maybe enough for both at the same time. :WeSmart:

India?

I understand. Everyone's life is not the same. Maybe I can be like that too. Frankly, I don't want to comment positively or negatively on a subject I haven't tried yet. I need to try it and see. I'm still not sure about the law

not India.

No point asking without showing your art / talent. No one can say if you'll make it or not without that.

Yes, I think it's best to show it. I was just wondering what users on the site would say about it. Thank you for your comment.

I'm thinking of making a game while I already have a job. If I earn 800-1000 dollars from the game, I will have earned as much money as a judge or a prosecutor with the money from my current job. I'm just thinking which one I should choose. Making a game is up to my will and determination, but becoming a judge or a prosecutor requires university education, internship and exams at the end of all this, even though my success is a big part of it. Even if I succeed, I will have to become a judge or a prosecutor by lottery. So I am undecided.

You can watch porn with a VPN. But there are sex workers in my country. I don't think it's a crime to make porn games, and I have a certain legal education.

Dude, I don't think it's a crime, there are sex workers in my country. But thank you for the warning.
You don't "think" it's a crime? You're considering to pursue a legal career but also to create an adult video game, but you haven't bothered to look at the statutes that surround pornography in your country?

Also, just because there are sex workers in your country doesn't mean that their work is legal. There are sex workers in the United States, but in nearly every jurisdiction in the United States, sex work is illegal. And even if their work is, in some aspect, not illegal, that doesn't translate that creating porn is not illegal. They are two different actions.

I wouldn't want you as my lawyer, nor as the judge in a courtroom, with this lack of duty to researching the law as it pertains to yourself. If you're not going to do it for your situation, I doubt you would be any more diligent for others. I don't know what country you live in, but you've stated you only "took courses on judiciary in high school" and that "becoming a judge or a prosecutor requires university education, internship and exams at the end of all this, even though my success is a big part of it. Even if I succeed, I will have to become a judge or a prosecutor by lottery." So you're just out of high school, by a year, at most - and don't know what you want to do with your life. That's fine. We get it. We've all been there. But choosing between legal work and work that is illegal - choosing between prosecuting criminals and being a criminal - is a bit of the extreme.

You say "guess what country" you're in when you say that viewing porn there is illegal - as if there are only one or two countries like that. There are quite a few. Also, in any country where the consumption (viewing) of pornography is illegal, the creation and distribution of pornography is also illegal.

In the end, it sounds like you are attempting to find an "earn a good living" quick scheme... possibly through creating adult video games (illegally in your country) - risking not only the ability to earn a living, but possibly risking your freedom (and the sanctity of your asshole, along with your life, should you end up in prison)

This is a troll thread, right?

It's gotta be.

Dude, I know for sure that what I did was not something that would affect me legally. I was just trying to be polite. Yes, I read it again and it can be misunderstood, but the thing is that a friend of a friend of a friend had just started doing this kind of work, but we were not very friendly, and our mutual friend was a woman, so I was afraid to ask too many questions about that. No, it's not a troll thread. As I said, I know where my country stands as far as the law is concerned and as far as guessing is concerned, it was not an order. It's up to the person to do it, it was just a question. That's all it was. Obviously, if I lived in the United States, I would do game making just for the fun of it; the idea of making money outside with dollars is much more appealing. Since the dollar is valuable in my country, I wanted to get information about it from the site. Thank you for the information you gave me. It was valuable for me.
