Different genres? Do you perhaps mean girls from different games and universes put into one game? If so, then probably. I believe it falls within parody laws.

Technically speaking, under US law, you likely do not need any rights or permission to make a true parody of a copyrighted work, due to the state of "parody" as an almost de facto fair use exception.

yeah as long as you are not ripping off someone else's story/writing then you should be fine. However if you do take copyrighted characters from major license holders they have been known in the past to come after people. However, that usually only occurs when you are asking for money and if your game gets popular. More times than not this starts with a cease and desist order, but very few games ever reach that level of popularity where they find out about it.

There are a lot wellknown parody games (Four Elements Trainer, Innocent Witches). Just look at the amount of Harry Potter parody games (mine is one too), Innocent Witched and Witch Trainer are rather famous on F95. The developers earn money and have been doing so for years. Companies simply don't care, since it would cost a lot of effort to go after a developer who makes parody games based on their IP.

However, one company who is known to even hunt down fangames is Nintendo (games made by fans out of passion for their IP, of which most don't make money). So I think that unless you're making a game with a Nintendo character, you should be alright. And even when a company comes after you, I believe they issue a warning to shutdown your game before they take more action (someone please correct me when I am wrong).

As long they aren't Nintendo characters, I think you'll do fine. Hell, I think I've read somewhere that they even persue fanfic artists. I dunno if it's true (probably not, judging from the ammount of content on rule 34) but just stay away from any of them to be safe.

Beside the shit show that Nintendo is, in theory the same should apply to Disney since they are completely against pornography and they love to take things down, but I think the few Disney-based games here never had a problem with it. On the other hand, I think none of those games lasted enough to be worthy.

I'd suggest you ask owners of the characters first. It's probably legal, but it's also probably worth checking with individuals to make sure it's okay with them. As someone else mentioned, be very careful with using any characters from Nintendo as they love to shut down anything and everything they can find.

Nintendo's pettiness aside, doing this (depending on the scale of the game and characters he's using. Unless it's other AVNs, then he should definitely ask.) would likely be a waste of time. You'll either get answered by an employee who doesn't know what they're talking about, outright ignored, or shot down by a lawyer who doesn't want to deal with problems down the line.

Best case is you enjoy making your game, and maybe some profits. Worst case is a DMCA takedown/C&D and you start another project/move on.

Depends on the Platform, for Patreon its a non issue but if you want it on Steam it can be a problem.

I wouldn't suggest that. If you ask any owner/author/creator he/she will definitely say no. That doesn't mean that he'll take the game down or to the court if it exists anyway.

Think about Butch Hartman, creator of Danny Phantom. The guy is religious and he said he doesn't approve the use of any of their characters for porn. That doesn't mean that him or Nickelodeon did anything against Amity Park.

I'm quite certain no parody porn game dev ever went out of their way to ask for permission to use the characters.
