Is there a way of favouriting games or game topics for updates

If there a way to add a game or game topic to favourites to get notified of when that game updates?
I understand you can probably favourite an entire topic to see when someone posts to that topic -- that's not what I'm looking for.

I'd like to be notified if the first thread in that topic is edited or updated -- is this a thing?

Not sure about editing or updating a post, but a full list can be seen in Account Details -> Alerts. (List is longer than shown in screenshot)

I am not aware of any feature like that on this site but I'm sure a lot of people would like that.
