Is there another Patreon Dump?

I was looking at the patreon rankings today and noticed every adult game seems to have dropped tons of subscribers. Is this just a move off Patreon, or did some new rule do damage? If anyone knows why top adult game devs are all down in one day, I'd love to know. (It is possible they drop the numbers at the end or beginning of every month?)

Thanks.

When someone deletes their pledge, they are still counted as a patron for the rest of the month. Previously, a deleted pledge meant the patron count dropped immediately, but now all the previous month's deleted pledges drop the count on the 1st, which is why everyone seemingly loses many patrons that date.

I know this has been the case for the Graphtreon numbers for a while, but is it also the case for the number shown on the Patreon page?

As you can see, the numbers show continued increase after the pandemic began (there was a stall just prior).
The short bar in the first picture is this month - because it is the 3rd day of the month. When checked again at the end of May, you will see it near or greater than it's neighbor.

In the second chart, you see it might appear that the average pledge per patreon subscriber started to decrease. Actually, it is because more and more creators are hiding how much $$ they make because too many people getting art and games for free are bitching that creators take too long for updates and are milking their patreons. That or "because they are making bank, they should be updating more often (or hiring more members for the devteam, etc etc etc)".

Also in that second graph, you can see the jagged line showing how each month starts off lower, but then regains it's former height, if not more.

There isn't any noticeable drop off ... yet. Though it initially looks like the pandemic surge could be tapering off.

A mix of things:
- We're entering a depression, and patreon'ing to porn games is ultimately something that's predominantly a disposable cash thing
- Most of our Russian supporters (and yes, Russians play and support these games) can't access Patreon any more, and often can't use basic banking systems

I never even thought of the Russian supporters. Thanks, very helpful!
