I know I'm asking for some very specific things, but after playing A Dance with Rogues, I've been struggling to find the same appeal in other games. Please Help!

There's nothing equivalent to adwr thanks to overlord censorship of the industry.

Sierra Lee is one of the best ero-game writers imo. Kingdom of Deception is partially a VN, has some light gameplay including combat. The Last Sovereign is a pretty typical RPGM game but with management elements.
Another couple of games I recommend based on the writing, that aren't pure VNs:
Naked Ambition
Princess Tower
Pyorgara games, most recently News Desk
For something more humorous in tone:
Grolokk
Simply Mindy
iNSight of you

Henteria Chronicles (not a VN, but a walking-sim with puzzles sometimes)

Kingdom of Deception is good, because it starts like my favorite episode from ADWR, in orc war camp 
The game is unfinished though. I'm gonna replay ADWR some day.
