Is there any proper successor for Sengoku Rance?

The concept of Sengoku rance is straight and simple. Limited dialogues with freedom to interact with the world. A main storyline and characters plotlines to explore.
A strategy concept that is like playing chess but isn't complex. I must add that conquering territory is always nice in a game.
And sex scenes that are varied and provided with barely any grinding.

Why isn't the type of game popular instead of VN where the "player" has no freedom?
I can't play VN, I find it too restrictive. Their stories are boring, I can't handle it. I much prefer a game where you're not restricted by the story and are free to explore on your own.
And please, don't give me the grinding **** where the only purpose is to grind more.
I miss Sengoku Rance. Only game I played that had the balance between sex scenes, strategy, exploration, characters and plot.
Am I the only one?

Simply put, it's because VNs are as the name implies visual stories. They're like reading a book with different storylines (most of the time the choices don't even mean much). They're not games. Sengoku Rance is a game, which is much more complex to develop and balance (especially with how much content/dialogue there is). AND on top of that, it's also a story so it has to be interwoven with the gameplay. You need a full team of full time dedicated artists, writers, editors, QA testers to make a game like Sengoku Rance. Compared to VNs which can be accomplished with a team of maybe 6 people or so.

.....came out 3 years before sengoku rance tho.....more a predecessor...than a sucessor....
..but yeah pretty fun....
Well, it's not like there are a lot of games to recommend with this specific gameplay, let alone translated ones.

I never played Rance but I became aware of that name when people compared my game to it. Again: didn't get to play so I can't tell if there's a real base for comparison.

I much rather have actual gameplay in my games as well, even if they're porn games.

However, I don't dig the personality of the MC from Rance at all.
