As far as i know, from here, there is only one that also provides a more or less functioning multiplayer but i couldn't say whether its used much or not but it has at least a shit ton of patreons and probably sold well enough on steam (can't look on steam because here we don't get to see smut on steam).

It might get a lot of players or it might not, i personally wouldn't want to play a multiplayer porn game because it would weird me out knowing that there is a high chance that the pixel chick i'm banging is probably billy bob from alabama.

I guess i could be the odd one out but i suppose most people on here wouldn't really want to play that either, but i might be wrong.

I'm sure there is some market for such a thing. I mean, sites like extralife were once booming with degenerates and a few small mmos were seemingly bombarded with roleplayers. There is likely still some sort of market for such things.

That said... I'm not exactly confident that you'll find that desired market on f95. At most, you may find a small group, but I doubt it would be substantial in any way that you'd want it to be.

Some already exist if you look around, but they are usually paid and not allowed to be shared here because of forced internet connection requirement/no cracked version available.

I wanna make one but if no ones gonna play it then I'll be sad
I honestly don't know how popular it would be to make a straight-up H-Based Multiplayer game. Could do well, could crash and burn, but either way afaik there's large communities ERP players in Second Life, VR Chat, and WoW, so something like that may have an audience? Maybe?

lol I feel like you could, if you mix an mmo with something like a simlation game I feel like people would be interested. I think it would be better stand alone as an mmo with how many people would need to be isolated from it because its nsfw and the amount of money to develop this would unrealistic no matter how cool it seems

There is a market for it.
But it is extreemly tiny.

Multiplayer means other people.
Other people who could judge you, insult you, call you a freak.
People want porn to relax.
Peer pressure(And there is always peer pressure where there are people) would make people do stuff they dont enjoy.
For example:
How open do you think the lolicon crowd is about there fetish?
The incest crowd?
The rape crowd?

Raping a mother and her child npc can be done guilt free.
Doing it during a roleplay isnt the same.
Not only because you know it is roleplayed but that there are real people behind the avatars.
People you might be hurting/disturbing, etc.
So you are natural going to be less cruel(and have less enjoyment) then if you know it didnt harm others.
Or more cruel in some cases.

Or worse.
Lets say it gains populairty.
Suddenly all the politicans, moral busy bodies, and anti fun people are comming after your game.
You might end up in jail for corrupting sociaties value's.

I am sure there are a lot of people who dont buy porn games on steam because they dont want others to know they are playing them.
Not because they dont play them.
They just dont want to have to deal with the judging and shaming.

Yes, there's definitely a market and I'm not saying this as some whose interest in the game but who takes an interest in the making of these things

There's a game called MeetnFuck online or possibly Meetnfuck Club, it seems to have a sizable paying user base despite the developers doing nothing with it. So there is a market there for someone willing to do the work, you could potentially poach theirs.

multiplayer means other people.
You would have some sort of system that lets people know what you're into.

All the hot chick's in your mmo sex game in one picture.
This will also be true, but then I believe that about everyone who claims to be a girl here as well. I mean there's a chance, but then there's also a chance I'm Maserati pretending to be a dude.

I'd say the only real exposure to any sort of adult multiplayer game I've had would be the erotic roleplaying in an MMORPG. I could never get into it because of a multitude of reasons. Typing slow, bad spelling, inconsistent quality, etc. Outside of the erp there was always a whole other AAA game to play as well. Other games like Second Life and VR Chat also exist, but those communities are small and face many of the exact same issues.

I know it sounds kind of ironic, but the worst aspect of an adult multiplayer game in my opinion would be the part where you have to play with other humans. I suppose if you designed it in a way to remove the human element then it could be fun. There are a lot of text-based sex games with fairly advanced sex mechanics. I'd look at those as a starting point. You could approach the sexual encounters in much the same way where players aren't typing erotic strings of text at each other, but are instead simply playing the game using the mechanics at their disposal while the game itself is pumping out all the actual text descriptions of what's happening.

Try putting out a simple visual novel first before trying to tackle mutiplayer.

As to the original question: I'd say yes, judging by all the pervy LARP-ing that goes on around the Goldshire Inn! :ROFLMAO:

Hi, I'm developing a multiplayer game right now and would like to post it here. Am I allowed to do it?
There's a bit of singleplayer as well.
